Abortion - I'm absolutely pro-choice ... in that you get ONE choice. You decide whether you want to have sex or not. Unless rape is involved (or if the mother and child would both be in danger if the mother were to keep the child), I don't see any excuse to get an abortion. Just because an infant will be an inconvenience to you doesn't mean you can snuff it out. People who drive slow in front of me are an inconvenience to me. You don't see me going around with a shotgun offing them.
Capital Punishment - I'm against capital punishment for two simple reasons:
1.) There's always the chance that the criminal will repent. And if they don't, at least they'll get to sit in jail and rot (uhh.. get rid of cable in jail cells.. That's ridiculous).
2.) There's ALWAYS the possibility that the jury was wrong. You can never guarantee that peoples' judgement will be accurate. |
