Contained within is everything I've written that I will allow the world to see. Keep in mind that it is all in a constant state of revision and everything is an eternal work of progress. I am a firm believer that no piece of literature is ever truly done. Especially when the writer says it's not.
Most of these poems and stories were written during college. They were written at 3am in a dark bedroom, and these were not the most cheerful moments of my life.
You see, the reason that I've always written was because I needed to escape from some ghost or untangle the wires in my head. And maybe that's the reason I haven't really written anything in a while. In the past year or so, I've been very content. There is no need for me to escape. Nothing that I need to face alone.
So I guess the moral of the story is.. when you're reading these, don't think I'm out of my mind. Each poem or story is a piece of me in one given moment and only in that moment. It's that simple. Don't get all weird on me.
