2006 Pro Division Rules
  1. GENERAL
    1. Drivers must be at least l6 years of age and have parents consent or legal guardians consent.

  2. CAR TYPE
    1. Must be American made with wheelbase of no less than 107 inches. No station wagons.
    2. Weight is 3200 lbs. with driver at the end of the race.
    3. GM 350 cubic inch plus .060 overbore/Ford 351 cubic inch plus .060 overbore/Chry 360 cu in .060.
    4. Factory production automotive type cast iron 2 bbl factory production intake with no modification to enhance performance.
    5. 500cfm 2 barrell Holly carbureter only. Must have 500 cfm base. Must pass bore guage. 1" spacere to mount carburetor and 2 gaskets. (.065 thick only)
    6. Street production heads only, no porting or port matching. Ports must have casting marks. Angle plug heads on Fords and Chryslers only.
    7. May use aftermarket oil pan.
    8. May use roller rockers and stud girdle (ratio 1.5 for Chev. and 1.6 for Fords)
    9. No roller cams. No roller fuel pump rods.
    10. Stock type flywheel and clutch setup. May run aftermarket starters. Bellhousing must have 5" inspection hole or inspection plate. Automatic transmission must have stock working torque converter.
    11. No triple disc clutches and couplers.
    12. May use headers. No 180 degree headers or zoomies.
    13. May use duel point distributor or electronic but NO MSD BOX IGNITION!

  3. FRAME
    1. Lower A frames must remain stock.. May use aftermarket upper A frames.
    2. Shocks must be mounted as close to original as possible. Racing shocks okay.
    3. Jacking bolts may be used for front end only, if car has jack bolts in rear, they must be welded in place (nonadjustable) May shim springs or use shackles.
    4. All holes in firewall shall be covered in case of fire and/or hot water. Tech officials will have complete discretion.
    5. May use afterrnarket panhard bar.
    6. Must use stock type chassis. May reinforce for safety. No offsets allowed. May use 2x3 square tubing for the rear clip starting from the center of the frame rail over the rearend to the rear of the car. Tubing must follow the original frame shape but may go straight back for tire clearance.
    7. You may use duel master cylinders/ proportion valve/ but must use stock brake calipers.
    8. May use 9" Ford under GM, Chrysler or Ford. Lower arms will be in stock location. No spring loaded or adjustable upper or lower arms. May run 3-link setup. Springs may be located 14 inches from center of housing. May use the 9" floating axle rear end.
    9. Width of front end will be 68 inches maximum, measured center of tires.
    10. Fire wall may be altered from stock however, must remain in stock location.
    11. Tube Frame - Front to rear add 150 lbs.(total=3350).
    12. Tube Frame with Rack and pinion add 200 lbs. (total=3400).
    13. Leaf Spring Rear - 3 Link Rear - coil spring rear permitted with 5-inch conventional coil springs only. Center link must be solid type.

  4. BODIES
    1. Any American made passenger car body (no compacts)
    2. Bodies may be aftermarket if stock appearing only. No flat sided bodies. Aluminum or steel except hood may be fiberglass with 4" hood scoop. Tech official will have complete control over this matter.
    3. May use rubber front end and rear bumper covers.
    4. Right floor may be raised and fully enclosed. Rear of cars may be left open.

  5. SPOILER HEIGHT MUST NOT EXCEED 5 INCHES!

  6. SAFETY
    1. Must use roll cage around drivers compartment. Cage must be 1 3/4-inch blackiron or steel tubing pipe.
    2. There must be at least 2 door bars in driver�s side of the car and at least 2 door bars in the passenger side.
    3. Roll bars may extend from the firewall forward. Roll bars are recommended from rear of firewall to the rear of the car.
    4. Must have at least 3 bars in the driver area of the windshield.
    5. All Ballast must be painted white with car number on it.
    6. All doors, hoods and decklids must be fastened shut.
    7. Seat belts are mandatory and must have a shoulder harness and window net.
    8. Safety hubs may be used on front.
    9. Must have working fire extinguisher and fire suit.
    10. Must have fuel cell and be in metal case.
    11. Must have blow proof bell housing or blanket for automatics.

  7. TIRES AND RIMS
    1. Tires will be a track tire with stamp.
    2. May use 10 inch rims, offset of rims will be the same on both sides of the car.
    3. Must have same width rim on all four corners.
    4. No glass on the car except front and rear windshields and a mirror.

  8. PROTEST RULE
    1. Protest for violation must be filed by a driver only.
    2. Time limit is 15 minutes after checkeered flag. ?cash only. Engine protest only.
    3. Driver may only protest the car that finishes ahead of him or her ONLY.
    4. Track retains the right to protest any car deemed to be illegal at any time.
    5. Any car found illegal twice will loose all points.
    6. You may protest a driver that finishes in front of you for P & G. Fee is ?.
    7. Protest must be written and given to tech official after the race.
    8. ANY ITEM NOT COVERED IN THIS SET OF RULES DOES NOT MEAN IT IS LEGAL TO USE.
