2006 Super Street Rules
  1. GENERAL
    1. Drivers must be at least 14 years of age and have parents consent or legal guardians consent .

  2. CAR TYPE American made
    1. Must be American made with wheelbase of no less than 107". No station wagons.
    2. Weight is 3000 lbs. with driver at the end of the race. No fuel added for weight.
    3. Roof, rear quarters and rear deck must be stock appearing sheet metal. May fabricate front fenders and doors ( must be stock appearing).
    4. May use front and/or rear bumber covers.

  3. ENGINE
    1. Engine will retain stock recondition or new stock type replacement components.
    2. Stock ignition systems.
    3. Stock rods and cranks only.
    4. MUST run a 500 Holly 2 barrell carburetor only .
    5. Factory production automotive type 2 bbl cast iron intake with no modification to enhance performance.
    6. Holley's must run 500 base.
    7. Stock factory STAMP STEEL replacement type rockers ONLY! (stock ratio 1.5 for Chevy, 1.6 for Ford) NO ROLLER ROCKERS OR ROLLER TIP ROCKERS! Flat tappet cams only.(Hydraulic or solid)
    8. May use stud girdle, screw in studs and guide plates.
    9. Stock production flywheel and clutch assembly. No triple disc or couplers. Stock starters and must have a scatter shields. Must have a 5 inch inspection hole to check flywheel and clutch. May use hydrolic clutch.
    10. Automatic transmissions must have a working torque converter.
    11. Any flat top or dish replacement piston.
    12. STREET stock production heads only, angle plug heads on Ford and Chrysler only. Heads must have casting marks in ports.
    13. No porting, polishing or port matching
    14. May use claimer type oil pan.
    15. No gear drives, No roller fuel pump rods and no nitrous oxide.HEADERS ALLOWED; no 90 degree /180 degree / or zoomies.
    16. Stock type brake master cylinder, No duel master cylinders. No brake proportion valves. No rear disc brakes.
    17. GM- 350 cubic inch - Ford - 400 cubic inch - Chry - 360 cubic inch is max. plus .060 max for overbore.
    18. Factory automaotive production cast iron 2-barrel intake only.

  4. FRAMES
    1. Upper and lower A frames must remain stock.
    2. Rear end must be same as manufacturer,GM rear end under GM, etc.
    3. Rear suspension must be stock.
    4. Shocks must be mounted as close to original as possible.
    5. No jacking bolts. If jack bolts are in the car, they must be welded in place.
    6. May lock rear gear.
    7. May cover firewall and floor pans. All holes in firewalls shall be covered in case of fire or HOT water.
    8. Tracking with must be stock for make and model of car.

  5. SAFETY
    1. Must use roll cage around drivers compartment. Cage must be 1 3/4-inch blackiron or steel tubing pipe. (.090 minimum) There must be at least 2 door bars in driver�s and passenger side of the car. Roll bars may extend from the firewall forward. Roll bars are recommended from the firewall to the rear of the car. All bumpers must be stock appearing or may use bumper covers. All doors, hoods and decklids must be fastened shut. Must have at least 3 bars in driver area of windshield.
    2. Seat belts are mandatory and must have a shoulder harness. Fire suit mandatory.
    3. Fuel cells are mandatory (Must be in metal can) and must be protected with roll bars..
    4. Only one mirror allowed. No glass except front and rear windshield.
    5. Safety hubs may be used on front.
    6. Fire suits are madatory. Must have a working fire extinguisher and a window net.
    7. Must have tow chains front and rear.
    8. All ballast must be painted white with the car number on it.

  6. TIRES AND RIMS
    1. Tires shall be Hoosier track tire only. Rims shall not exceed 8 1/2 inches in width.
    2. Same width rim on all four corners. Same offset on both sides of the same axle.

  7. The purpose of this class is to offer anyone that wishes an affordable means of racing.

  8. PROTEST RULE
    1. Protest for violation must be filed by a driver only. Time limit is 15 minutes of the checkered flag.
    2. ? cash only. This is an engine protest only. If engine is found legal the fee of ? goes to the driver being protested and ? to the point fund.
    3. Driver may protest only the car that finishes ahead of him or her.
    4. Track retains the right to protest any car deemed to be illegal. Any car found to be illegal twice in a single season will loose all points received up to that time.
    5. Any car found to be illegal or refusing protest will loose all money and points for the event.
    6. Any item not covered in these rules does not mean it to be legal, so check with the Tech official.
    7. May P & G driver that finishes ahead of you for ? protest fee.
    8. Protest must be in writing at end of event and given to tech official.
