- COMPETING MODELS
- Stock cars are open to American made passenger car production.
- May use a uni-body type car and may tie in chassis. Must be approved by the technical director.
- Minimum wheelbase is 99".
- Weight - 2400Ibs minimum with driver at the end of the race. No fuel maybe added before weigh in.
- May use coilovers and rack --n- pinion steering.
- ENGINE
- Ford in Ford product, Chrysler in Chrysler, Chevy in GM.
- Cylinder blocks must be production with standard measurement in all respects except for overbore. May line bore and deck block.
- Engine displacement must not exceed 360 cubic inch plus .060 overbore in Ford, Chrysler and American Motors. GM 360 cubic inch.
- Engine components may use solid lifters, roller rockers, etc. May use stud girdle for angle plug heads: Aftermarket, World product, Sportsman II #1115B-1125B. 1-034 Chevy 1-051 Ford
- Only Factory production votex heads may be used.
- Decision of the technical director is final.
- Gear drive permitted that fit under stock cam cover.
- No roller fuel pump rod, 1/2" port matching allowed on heads.
- Standard factory rods only: may polish and balance.
- No Decuir Valve train system.
- May use aftermarket rods for engine.
- Ford products/heads - World Product Sportsman or stock Ford. No Yates heads.
- 6" Engine set back to center of ball joint to #1 spark plug / 2.75" offset to the left Max.
- CYLINDER HEADS
- Must be standard production in every aspect no polishing or porting of heads will be allowed. Casting must be left in heads. 1/2" port matching allowed.
- Angle plugged heads allowed.
- No aluminum heads. Sportsman II allowed.
- May use screw in studs or pinheads. Stud girdle allowed.
- Steel or roller rockers allowed with 1.6 ratio arms only. Fords 1.6 rockers.
- 1.6 exhaust, 2.02 Intake valve size for Chevy, Ford must keep stock valve angle.
- CARBURETOR
- Must pass bore gauge check/holly 500 CFM only.
- Base palte must be stock 500 (1 11/16)
- PISTONS
- Flat top or dish.
- Intake cannot be altered or modified in any way. Cast iron 2-barrel or Edelbrock 2101 aluminum only. Ford intake #2181
- May use 1-inch spacer plate or adapter plate.
- May float wrist pins.
- CRANKSHAFT
- Only standard production design. Stroke must remain standard for manufacturer's engine being used.
- Must weigh 48 lbs. or heavier.
- INTAKE MANIFOLD
- Stock cast iron two-barrel only or 2101 Edelbrock for Chevy. Edelbrock 2181 for Fords.
- No modifications to any intakes.
- EXHAUST MANIFOLD
- Headers permitted.
- ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- May use duel point distribution, any electronic systems okay.
- No magneto's.
- May relocate battery if placed in a safe location.
- No electronic traction devices allowed.
- COOLING SYSTEM
- May use aftermarket radiator.
- CLUTCH AND FLYWHEEL
- May use any clutch.
- May use racing automatic transmission.
- Aftermarket manual transmission such as Bert or Brin okay.
- May use hydraulic clutch linkage if needed.
- DRIVESHAFT
- Must have safety loop around shaft.
- Driveshaft painted white or silver.
- REAR AXLES
- Any rearend and/or gear permitted.
- However "NO" Sprint car type quick changes permitted.
- FRAMES
- NO ALUMINUM for frames or cages.
- SUSPENSION
- Any suspension is okay.
- Width of front-end 70" measured from hub to hub, max width.
- SHOCKS
- Any shocks permitted.
- LUBRICATION
- Any oil permitted.
- Any wet sump pan.
- Any oil cooler may be used.
- BELLHOUSING
- Must have scattershield with 1 inch Inspection hole.
- Scattershield of not less than 3/8 inches thick and must be installed over flywheel and clutch area.
- All automatics must have an approved scattershield.
- FUEL AND FUEL CELLS
- Any fuel that cannot be mixed with water is okay.
- Any approved racing fuel cell okay.
- Cells must be a metal container to prevent a puncture.
- Only a braided steel woven line may run through driver�s compartment or run a rubber line through a steel tube in the same manner.
- Fuel cell canister must be enclosed in a cage.
- BODIES
- All cars must have complete bodies. Must have stock appearing rubber nose.
- Any body in question must be approved by the technical director.
- No rear bumper cover mandatory.
- BUMPERS
- Must stock appearing front bumper cover.
- Must have tow chain or cable for towing.
- No push bars shall jut out in front of stock bumpers.
- No rear bumper cover necessary.
- GLASS
- Headlights and taillights must be removed. Headlight and taillight holes must be covered up with metal.
- Windshield is recommended, but if not used, safety bars must be placed in a way so as to protect the driver.
- One mirror on car.
- All side windowglass must be removed.
- A track approved nylon window net must be installed in the driver�s side window opening.
- ROLLBARS
- Steel rollover bars are compulsory and must be approved by the track. Aluminum and other soft metals are not permitted. Side roll bars are compulsory and must extend into door panels (minimum of three on left and three on the right side). Left door side bars must be convex in shape right side bars may be straight.
- Roll bars must be .090 thick. Must be 1.5 inch tubing or larger. All door bars must have gusset plates.
- Roll bars in driver area must be padded and taped with foam rubber bottom of left window to center of top.
- Drivers hoop bar should by no further than 7 inches behind door openings. Track decision final on roll bars.
- SEATS
- Bucket seats are mandatory, but must be factory manufactured and track approved. Positivley NO homemade aluminum, plastic or fiberglass seats allowed.
- WHEELS
- Rim width not to exceed 14 inches. Any OFFSET on rims.
- Aluminum rims are okay.
- Track tire rule: Hoosier D-45 tire only!
- NO NITROUS OXIDE
- SAFETY BELTS
- A quick release belt no less than 3" wide mandatory for lap.
- Shoulder harness required and must protect shoulders 3" minimum.
- FIRE CONROL
- Fire extinguisher in working order and securely mounted within reach of driver.
- Drivers suit required.
- NUMBERS
- Only numbers 0-99.
- 18" high and neatly painted on both sides of the car.
- A number 18" high must be painted on the roof reading from the passenger side.
- Number must be readable from scoring tower.
- HELMETS
- Required to get on the track during practice or race.
- PROTEST
- Protest for engine violations must be written down and given to tech official during weigh-in after race.
- A protest shall be accompanied by a fee of ?. CASH ONLY. This is only an engine protest. If the engine is found to be legal, ? goes to the driver being protested and ? goes to the point fund.
- Driver can only protest the car that finishes ahead of him or her.
- Track retains the right to protest any car deemed to be illegal
- Any car found to be illegal twice will lose all points received up to that time. The car will automatically lose all points for the event if deemed to be illegal.
- SPOILER
- Must use factory spoiler or homemade spoiler.
- Must be clear plexiglass and may not exceed 8" in height.
- MISCELLANEOUS
- May use poly locks or stock nuts.
- May use guide plates.
- Must use 1/2-inch wheel studs or larger.
- Must have fuel cell approved by track.
- Must wear fire suit.
- May use spacers to move tires away from rubbing frame.
- Two-way radios permitted.
- Pit sign may not exceed 20lbs and not be over 40" tall. No concrete bottoms.
- All ballast must be painted white with car number on it.
- BRAKES
- May use proportion and cut off valve in brake lines. May use disc and drum brakes or 4-wheel disc type. Any type brake pedal may be used (aftermarket or homemade) Duel master cylinders okay. Aftermarket okay.
- BODIES AND CHASSIS
- Spoiler may be up to 8" tall and no more than 3 braces that are 6" in triangle. Spoiler must be clear.
- Any spoiler over 5" tall must be clear type.
- 74" max. rear body width.
- Rear deck must not exceed 40" in height
- Any offset chassis or straight chassis.
