MORGANS CORNER -Finally getting their chance in the Dixieland Speedway spotlight, the T-Tops Pro Division racers highlighted Michael P. Sanders, Attorney at Law Night, featuring a 50-lap main event. Elizabeth City drivers Troy Brickhouse and Russell Barclift filled the front row while Lyl Brown and Kevin Bray started from row two. On the initial green-flag start, Bray was first exiting turn two. But the yellow flag waved prior to the completion of lap one, forcing a complete restart. From the pole position, Brickhouse took command. Brown and Bray both moved around Barclift when Pat Gonzales spun out on the backstretch on lap seven. At lap 22, Brickhouse still led with Bray close behind when the caution flag waved yet again, this time for Brown's spin in turn three. With 15 to go, Gonzales brought out the race's final yellow flag, spinning out in turn two, right in front of the leaders and creating a major pileup. When the race resumed, Bray tried to pressure Brickhouse into making a mistake, but to no avail. A very jubilant Brickhouse went to victory lane for the first time this season. Behind Bray, Barclift, Casey Murphy and James Miller completed the top five.

Budweiser All-Stars
After last week's get together on the frontstretch, Brian Staton and Steve Steeley lined up on row one to start the 40-lap Budweiser All-Star feature. Last week's winner, Ted Midgett lined up alongside Neil McClanan on row two in the 12-car field. Under green, Steeley used the high groove to take control and build a 12 car-length lead by lap 10. By the time Steeley received the halfway signal, his lead had grown to some 15 car-lengths. But on lap 22, Steeley entered the pits with engine trouble, yet again a victim of terrible racing luck. Unchallenged, Staton went on to collect his tenth All-Star feature win of 2005. McClanan finished a distant runner-up while third-place finisher Larry Jackson posted his best All-Star result to date. Rounding out the top five were Gene Benson and Larry Grimstead.

Bombers
Longtime Dixieland veteran Ben Williams was on the pole among 12 drivers entered in the 20-lap Little Caesars Bomber main event. Points leader Gary Farmer Jr. started next to Williams on the front row, but that was as close as he would get. Williams led all 20 laps for his first win of the rain-shortened season. Farmer, Eric Pollard, Marty Goodwin and Jim Baker completed the top five.

Mini Stocks
Mirroring Williams' performance from the Bomber event, Rickie Waters led all 20 laps from the pole to win his sixth Biggs Pontiac Minnie Stock feature of 2005. Just a few car-lengths behind was Dale Ore in second. Ryan Gibson finished very respectably in third, Gwen Pritchard was fourth and Brad Adams fifth.
