Bye Bye Mazda RX-7...
This
was my first car, a 1989 Mazda RX-7 GXL. It's a car I will never forget for many
reasons. First its this sentimental value of the first car. Second because of it
amazing performance. And third because of its breakthrough technology. After
all, Mazda is the only car manufacturer that
uses rotary engines. In 1991, it became the first Japanese manufacturer that won
the 24-hour LeMans race in France (Mazda 787 B). The car was also voted import car of the year
in 1986. |

3rd Generation Mazda RX-7 This is the most refined Mazda RX-7. Turbocharged with 250 horsepower, perfect weight balance and rear wheel drive, this car pumps your adrenaline to the roof. Although is it almost 15 years old, this 3rd generation Mazda RX-7 looks like it just came out of the production line. Strictly 2 door with 2 seats and sharp body, this beauty is among the best coupes ever made. In 1998 (December) the last RX-7s were produced with 280 horsepower. This is a car that many people still dream of. |

RX-8 This is the new Mazda RX-8. The new rotary engine (renesis) has many technological advancements. The intake is now on the side resulting in better combustion (more power) and lower emission's levels. Normally aspirated, this little 1.3lt. monster gives you 240 horsepower. Although the RX-8 is the car that continues the rotary legend, it is not the absolute sports car. It appears to have two doors but looking closer one will spot the two rear doors. In the back, there are now two seats that fit adults much better. Mazda designed this car to be more user friend and they made it but we still miss the glory and the sportif character of the RX-7.
