The children are expected to practice appropriate classroom behaviors. Instead of Class Rules, the children are asked to "Be An Angel" and promise to:
- Be kind to others
- Follow Directions
- Listen to the teacher
- Work quietly
- Keep my hands and feet to myself
To reinforce positive behavior, the children are rewarded for "keeping their promise." Rewards include special angel stickers, occasional treats, ice cream with the teacher, and plenty of praise.
If your child breaks his/her promise to "Be An Angel," and continues to practice inappropriate behavior (after being spoken to), he/she may be given a 5 minute time out, lose 10 minutes of free/recess time, or, miss a "special" class. You will also receive a note from your child to inform you of the behavior and consequence. Top of Page
