EXERCISE EQUIPMENT FOR INDOORS

Lets face it, the weather often gets in the way of getting some exercise. It isn't like we want to punish ourselves, just keep our hearts working. So what about something to use on indoors on rainy, snowy and to hot days (there are alot of all of those). It also gives both Bob and Shirley something to do in front of the TV besides read and the grandkids cannot say they just sit around all the time. What about the visitors? Andrea and Laura might also use the facility if available. So this is the reasoning behind a treadmill and exercise stationary bike being Mom's 80th birthday present. 10

TOWN HOUSE

I have been working on Mom and Dads townhouse extension. This is a request made from them for more ground floor living space in the form of a year 'round screen porch type extension as they had in Connecticut. The way this project started was to recognise that with both of them growing older and moving to a multi-floor house, there would be a time when stairs might become less usable and they would want to avoid needing to climb. In the meantime having ground floor space would give benefit generally. Their capacity to absorb the disruption of building works is also better now than it ever will be.

On the next page are some images of the exterior as these are ready before the plans and technical drawings. Note that the windows are thought about but not final. They are large to bring in light and views, and air movement when open.
