THE EXTENSION fills the space of the property to the south (bottom) except for one foot to allow for accuracy of construction and some planting to draw the building into the landscape.

THE SPACE is treated as one room with a ceiling that goes into the roof void and big windows for looking out at the trees. The bringing out of the extension to the rear means that you are more out in the trees, if that works for your neighbours.
