Travel

Travel: Arrangements will be made for travel by Air/Train and stay etc from point of landing in India on request. Please advise details of arrival in order to assist in making best travel & tour arrangements. All major international carriers provide Mumbai/Calcutta-Delhi sector free, for assistance kindly contact travel managers

 DHR: Travel from the foot of the hills to Darjeeling by Toy Train is recommended for its unique experience. Special Trains are being arranged on 12th &  13th January, 2001 leaving Sukna at 08:00. Charges are $99/- per person for group of atleast 25 persons. These will reach Darjeeling  in about 8 hours. Special Pickup of arrivals from New Jalpaiguri, Hotels in Siliguri & Bagdogra till from morning to noon will be made and drop on the train to continue the journey.

 Transportation:

M/Van NAC, Cars AC, Other Vehicles (Sumo, Qualis & Jeep) Transport on DHR are available for point to point, for ½ day & full day for Sightseeing tours in Darjeeling, along DHR, Mirik etc

Visa: In addition to a valid passport, all visitors require a visa, which may be obtained from an Indian High Commission or Consulate in your country. If you require an invitation, please send a request to the travel managers. For visit to Nepal or neighboring countries, multiple entry visas is required.

Customs: Those without any dutiable goods or foreign exchange more than US $2500/- or accompanied luggage can walk through the Green Channel

Facilitation: A Special desk for the participants will be set up at Bagdogra Airport  & New Jalpaiguri Station for assistance.

Departure Tax: while leaving India is Rs. 500 per person for all destinations except Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Pakistan for which it is Rs. 150.
