Mantis was easily the most pleasant surprise of all the rides at Cedar Point. My only previous stand-up coaster being Iron Wolf, I was expecting the worst. But apart from the unnecessary trim break on the first drop, this ride was fun from start to finish. The first loop is fun, because with the trim break, you practically are hanging at the crest. The dive loop (my first one) was more exciting than I would have thought, and even the incline loop had its own thrill. But my favorite part of any stand-up is when the track is banked one way, and in a very short segment banks the other way, whipping the car over the top.....its a blast. The ride is definite quality, and is worth a look.
