| LILIES OF THE FIELDS |

| Snow-white lilies Blooming in yonderfield One lovely summer morn Immaculate and resplendent Upon their bed of mud and silt Snow-white petals Delicate and lovely Unscathed by the elements Protected and lavished By the unseen Hand of the Maker Blooms that symbolize the chosen - Thy who took His path And followed Him Taking His cross, the crown the yoke, the burden light. Somewhere in Heaven's realm I hear dulcet songs Of celestial tune Voices of the angels Singing hymns IN eternal praise To the lilies of the lord. |
