| CZARINA |
| by Amy Lim Woman you appall me With your fathoming wisdom I could not conceived Juno's domestic touch Minerva's divine brilliance Venus perfect beauty Terpsichore's light fantastic toes All blended into one. What perfect setting For such human name Could be better than your oriental beauty? A chiseled face that crinckles in childish laughter Betraying a solitary dimple upon your ruby cheeks. Straight ebony kisses flowing down Like cool tropical waters A determinated soul Armed with courage And will power I have never known to possess are encircled upon your youthful frame. Your a woman of the world Regal in yuor queenly name Who modes in spheres Destined for greatness And success molded for you by God. Yet you are armed with delicate femininity that still retains the status of Filipina maidenhood. I adorn you with praise and glory What better pride Could one feel Having reared you once For others to uphold. In peace I shall rest Knowing that giving you life Was not in vain Sail on! And reap a bountiful harvest in the end! |
