2.1 When She Was Bad Written by: Joss Whedon
After returning from her summer holiday in LA with her dad, Willow and Xander get worried by her strange behavior and cold attitude. She blows Angel off and flirts with Xander worrying even Cordelia. Meanwhile the Anointed One gathers vampires to help resurrect the Master by stealing his bones. Buffy becomes determined to stop them herself though just making things worse. Cordelia and Ms Calendar are kidnapped by the vamps, as Giles discovers that the ritual also includes the blood of the closest 4 people to him. A message is sent saying to meet Buffy alone, but Angel follows. They discover this was a trick to kidnap Willow and Giles and the rest rush to rescue their friends. Xander and Angel help rescue their unconscious friends while Buffy fights the vamps off. The Anointed One escapes and Buffy using a sledge hammer smashes the bones until she breaks down in sobs. The next day she returns to school hesitant but is forgiven by her friends. 
2.2

Some Assembly Required Written by: Ty King
The gang hear off graves being dug up with people stealing bodies of girls. When Cordelia and Angel discover cut up parts of the bodies in a dumpster, they find that the parts add up to 3 girls who have been killed recently, except that some parts are missing. They find that the missing parts add up to a complete body except for the head and the gang start suspecting Frankenstein activity. They suspect Chris, a quiet science brain who keeps to himself since his brother Daryl died. We discover that Chris and Eric another science brain has been collecting female body parts to create a girl for Daryl who was pieced back together by his brother. They are missing a head and need a fresh one and when Eric decides they can't wait for another accident and must kill someone, Chris becomes unsure. Eric presents Daryl with three options: Buffy, Willow or Cordelia and he chooses Cordelia who was his ex-girlfriend. Chris decides that he won't kill anyone and helps Buffy stop them. Meanwhile at the football game, Giles and Ms Calendar are on a date and Cordelia is cheering. She goes behind the stands for a drink and is captured. Cordelia is tied down and is about to be decapitated when the gang rush in to the rescue. Daryl and Buffy fight spilling over a petrol tank and a fire is lit. Xander helps Cordelia escape as Daryl rushes over to save his headless girlfriend. Daryl decides to die with his girlfriend in the fire. At night Buffy and Angel talk and he confesses that he was jealous of Xander and we see Daryl's tombstone. 
2.3 School Hard  Written by: David Greenwalt

A car drives and crashes through the Sunnydale High School sign and out steps a British blonde vamp. At school, Buffy and another girl Sheila sit as Principle Snyder tells them that they are the worst students in the school. They 'volunteer' to organize the Parent Teacher Night and must do a good job unless they want to be expelled. Meanwhile at the Anointed One's lair they are planning for St Vigeous , a special night for attack when they are interrupted by the new blonde vamp. He is introduced as Spike and along is his insane girlfriend Drusilla. They say they will kill the slayer if he and his girlfriend is allowed to stay. One night fighting a vamp Buffy meets Spike who vows he will kill her on St Vigeous which is the night after Parent Teacher night. Determined to balance both things the gang research that Spike aka William the Bloody has killed two slayers so far! Then on parent teacher night vamps crash into the school. Spike comments that couldn't wait until tomorrow. All the parents run, hiding, locking themselves in rooms and getting eaten. Xander escapes to get Angel's help, while Buffy is in a room with her mother, Principle Snyder and parents. Buffy crawls into the ventilation to get weapons. Angel arrives with a plan by taking Xander and pretending to be evil. We discover that Spike and Angel know each other and Angel was actually Spike's sire. Spike apparently heard of Angel's change and runs off to kill Buffy. Spike and Buffy have a showdown where Spike is about to kill Buffy until he is smashed in the head with a axe by Buffy's mom who exclaims 'get the hell away from my daughter!' Spike retreats with the vamps and the next day we see Snyder and the police talking. They seem to know they were vamps but decide to tell the press it was a PCP gang. Back at the Anointed One's lair Spike and Dru decide to ' have a lot more fun and a lot less ritual' and kill the 'Annoying One'.
2.4 Inca Mummy Girl  Written by: Matt Kiene

Sunnydale is planning a student exchange program with a culture dance and Buffy's student is a guy. Meanwhile the class is taken to a museum where they have a exhibit of a mummy Inca girl who was sacrificed holding a seal warding off disturbers. One student sneaks back in to steal the seal and it breaks. The mummy rises and kisses him  leaving only a mummy of him. The gang hear of his disappearance and investigate to find the seal broken and is attacked by a man with a knife. The seal is undecipherable and Willow discovers that the mummy has braces... At the exchange student meeting, Buffy's student is killed by the mummy who becomes a beautiful Peruvian girl Impata posing as the student. Xander falls in love and Impata translates the seal as a man with a knife is the bodyguard. Xander and Impata are attacked again by the man looking for the seal. Giles decides to find the rest of the pieces against Impata's wishes to destroy it. In the bathroom, Impata is attacked by the man and she kisses him, mummifying him too. Getting ready for the culture dance, Impata tells the story of the Inca mummy girl who was chosen to defend her people and was sacrificed at 16 yrs- relating to Buffy's destiny. Buffy and Giles discover that Impata is the mummy when they find the real exchange student's body and guy clothes. At the dance Xander and Impata make out but she starts to change back to mummy form. She doesn't want to kill Xander so she runs off to the museum where Giles is fitting the seal together. Giles is attacked by Impata but Buffy saves him and is thrown into the tomb. Xander offers his own life and Impata is already mummy-like. Buffy jumps out and pulls the dead mummy off broken-hearted Xander.
2.5 Reptile Boy  Written by: David Greenwalt
After finding a signature bracelet with blood, Buffy is brushed off by Angel who tells her that she is too young. Buffy is invited by fraternity guys with Cordelia to go to a party. Buffy decides to go to spite Angel, lying to Giles about her mom being sick. They find that the bracelet belonged to a girl who disappeared near the fraternity, Willow tries to cover up for Buffy. At the party Buffy dances with her date and is drugged and taken to a room with Cordelia unconscious. Meanwhile Xander decide to look out for Buffy by joining the party uninvited and is humiliated with the frat pranks. The gang find that girls disappeared every 7 years and that the frat members were worshipping a monster called Machida who feeds on sacrifices giving power in return. When Giles goes to investigate the frat house Willow spills the secret and gives them a lecture about how Buffy is just a teen and how Angel is gonna live for ever and doesn't have time for a cup of coffee with Buffy. They go to rescue Buffy while after the party Xander is kicked out with lipstick and a bra on. Buffy awakens to find Cordelia and another girl chained up. The frat guys are dressed up in cloaks chanting. The gang rush in to save her fighting off the frat members. Meanwhile the snake like Machida rises out to accept it's sacrifice. Buffy escapes out of the chains and using a sword cuts Machida in half. The rest of the gang come down and the other sacrifices are rescued. Machida then suddenly comes back to life grabbing Buffy's date and diving back down saying 'something for the road.' Then at the Bronze Angel pops by to ask Buffy if she wants to go for a cup of coffee. She replies 'someday' and leaves.

Halloween  Written by: Carl Ellsworth
Once again the gang are 'volunteered' by Snyder to take little kids for trick and treat. Buffy and Willow read up on Angel and find that he use to go out with 'ladies' who are defenseless and look pretty in dresses. So as the gang selects their costumes Buffy selects a 18th Century dress, Willow a ghost and Xander a Army soldier. Willow dresses up in a date look but quickly hides under her ghost costume. On Halloween however all the gang and kids turn into their costumes. Buffy becomes a defenseless girl, Willow becomes a hot looking ghost and Xander into a Army soldier. Spike and his vamps hear off this and decide to attack. Taking refuge in Buffy's house they can't remember anything until Cordelia who was dressed as a cat comes. Willow goes to Giles for help and discover that all the people who bought their costumes at Ethan's changed but not others like Cordelia who is still human. Fighting off vamps Angel comes to help but vamps out during a fight scaring Buffy who thinks he's a demon. She runs out onto the streets and is soon found by Spike. The gang look for Buffy while Willow and Giles investigate the shop. They find the owner who apparently has a past with Giles. The owner is forced to reverse the spell and the gang are reversed to their old selves. Buffy fights off the vamps who then retreat. Angel then tells her that he did go out with those girls but found them boring and likes Buffy.
2.7 Lie to Me  Written by: Joss Whedon

On a patrol, Buffy sees Angel talking to a girl who is actually Drusilla- Spikes girlfriend. Next day Buffy meets back with her old friend Ford from Hemery High. At the Bronze Buffy is shocked to find that Ford knows she is the Slayer. Later Ford enters a room filled with gothic people and find that he is planning something. Meanwhile Angel appears at Willow's house to tell her that he gets a bad feeling from Ford and asks her to investigate. Buffy and Ford are attacked by vamps and we see Ford letting one go in return for information, saying that he killed it. Not finding anything Willow, Xander and Angel go to Ford's hangout to find the gothic people who are vampire worshippers and wannabes. Buffy is at the library with Giles and sees a book with a picture of Dru when a vamp runs in, grabs the book escaping. It was the same vamp that Ford supposedly killed. Meanwhile, Ford makes a deal with Spike that he'll turn him and his vamp wannabe friends if they can deliver the Slayer to him. When Angel warns Buffy about Ford, Buffy asks him about Dru. Angel confesses that he was her sire and before that he killed everyone she loved and drove her insane. Buffy then plans to set Ford up and the next day they make plans. Buffy is taken to the room with all the goth vamp wannabes and Ford and he locks them in. The only way for it to open is on the outside. Buffy tries to talk some sense into the people about vamps when Ford tells her that he only has 6 mths to live and he doesn't want to die. Spike and his gang rush in feeding on the people who are now scared. Ford is knocked unconscious. Buffy jumps up and threatens to kill Drusilla. All the remaining people rush out and Buffy locks the vamps in. On the night afterward they return to find the steel door broken and Ford's body. They bury him and wait as he rises and is dusted.
2.8 The Dark Age Written by: Dean Batali and Rob Des Hotel
A man runs to the Sunnydale library and pounds on the door looking for Giles but is unheard by Buffy's exercise music. A zombie like monster then kills him and strangely turns into a bluish liquid. Next day the body is found we see a tattoo on the arm. Giles apparently knows him and rings up a list of people who he soon finds are dead except for Ethan Rayne. While washing his hands we also see that Giles has the same tattoo. At the morgue, the dead body rises and flashes its eyes green. Buffy is concerned for Giles and approached by a familiar costume seller - Ethan who tells her about Eyghon. She calls up Giles who warns her and rushes over. All the gang are there plus Ms Calendar when the dead body burst in. Buffy fights it and Ms Calendar is knocked unconscious. The body then liquidizes again. Giles brushes Buffy off and takes Ms Calendar home. The gang then research about the mark of Eyghon and that it is a demon that inhabits dead or unconscious bodies for a short time. Meanwhile at Giles's home Ms Calendar starts behaving strangely and her eyes start glowing. Buffy goes to tell Giles and fights with the Eyghon who escapes to kill Ethan. Giles explains to Buffy that in his youth he and a group delved in dark magic bringing the Eyghon but it got loose and started killing everyone in the group. it was gone for some time but has managed to escape again. Buffy goes to protect Ethan but is knocked down by him who tattoos her with the mark, burning his own to get the Eyghon off his scent. 'Ms Calendar' burst in the room and starts to go for Ethan but turns on Buffy. Buffy fights but cannot kill it as it will kill Ms Calendar as well. Willow then rushes in with Angel who starts strangling the Eyghon. Giles protests but Willow explains that Angel will endanger it, forcing it to jump to the nearest dead body (Angel's.) Angel then starts changing from vamp to Eyghon and back violently. Ms Calendar drops to the ground normal again. Angel suddenly stops returning to normal and explains that he has a demon already in him who was just waiting for a good fight and won. next day at school Giles tries to approach Jenny who brushes him off and tells him that she needs time to cope. 
2.9/10 What's My Line (Part 1 and 2)  Written by: Howard Gordon (P1) and Marti Noxon (P1/2)
It's Career's Week at school and Buffy is depressed. Meanwhile Spike finds a cure to reenergize Drusilla in a book but realizes it is in a code. On patrol Buffy finds a two vamps robbing a grave. One escapes with something. When Angel comes to warn her, Buffy tells her of when she use to skate to escape her troubles. Spike has part of the cure- a cross from the grave and summons a group of assassins to kill Buffy- the Order of Taraka. Giles and Buffy go to the grave and find it was duLac's who wrote the book to cure vamps. Meanwhile, Buffy meets Angel at the ice skating rink when she is attacked by a one eyed demon. She kills him and Angel recognizes the ring on it's finger as a sign of the Order of Taraka. Giles tells her that it is a group of assassins of vamps, demons, humans who will keep coming until the target is dead. Buffy is freaked and stays at Angel's place. Meanwhile, Angel beats up Willy to find who sent the assassins when he is hit by a Jamaican woman who locks him in a cage that in the morning will be sun filled. The gang look for Buffy at her house and Cordelia invites a cosmetics man in. At Angel's place Buffy wakes just in time to avoid a axe. She fights with the Jamaican girl until she introduces herself as Kendra the Vampire Slayer! Shocked they both go back to Giles who deduces that another Slayer must have been called when Buffy drowned for a few mins. Meanwhile, Willy drags Angel out of the cage and gives him to Spike. Kendra turns out to be the stereotypical Slayer and bonds with Giles making Buffy think about resigning. Meanwhile Cordelia chats with the cosmetic guy until he bursts into a pile of worms (another assassin) and Xander and Cordelia escape to the basement. They fight and suddenly start kissing before running out of the house. Willow sits in a room talking with Oz another student ace. At the Career's fair, a policewoman suddenly starts shooting at Buffy (another assassin) and shoots Oz. Giles learns that the cure needs the blood of the sire who is Angel and he will die tonight. Buffy and Kendra go back to the bar but Kendra leaves as she thinks Angel is evil. Willy leads Buffy and the gang to the ritual place. Buffy fights the policewoman as Drusilla begins draining Angel. Xander and Cordelia catch the Worm guy and stomps him to death. Buffy frees Angel as Spike tries to escape with Dru and sets the room on fire. Buffy throws a lantern at Spike knocking them down where a organ collapses on them. Kendra leaves. Later Drusilla  rises under the rubble holding a battered Spike...
2.11 Ted  Written by: David Greenwalt and Joss Whedon

When Buffy meets her mom's new boyfriend Ted, she dislikes him but he becomes instant friends with both Xander and Willow. At school, Giles tries to approach Jenny. When they all go out together for mini golf, Buffy is threatened by Ted who reveals a dangerous side to him but instantly turns normal when her friends appear. At dinner, Buffy asks if they are engaged and finds they are not, but still gets angry going up to her room. She goes out the window. She returns to find Ted looking through her diary. He then starts threatening her again and hits her. Buffy fights back and kicks him down the stairs, killing him. Buffy is shocked at herself. At school, the gang decide to investigate and find that the cookies are drugged and that Ted has had 4 wives who are now dead in his closet. At the cemetery, Jenny goes to apologize to Giles and is attacked by vamps. She accidentally shoots a arrow into Giles. At home, Buffy tries to talk to her traumatized mom. Buffy goes to her room to find Ted alive and angry. She fights him again, stabbing him and finds that he is a robot. He knocks her down and greets the shocked Joyce. He tries to force her to leave with him but she tries to run and is knocked out. Buffy comes back down and finally kills him revealing the wires under his skin. Next day they find Jenny and Giles making out in the library.
2.12 Bad Eggs  Written by: Marti Noxon
While at the mall, Buffy fights a cowboy-vamp. At school, the class are given eggs to take care of as a lesson in parenting. Buffy finds herself a single mom. Giles finds out that the cowboy-vamps is a duo of Texas vamps called Gorches. Buffy is supposedly on patrol but we find that she has been making out with Angel for the last nights. Returning she finds her egg hatched and a it attacks her. After killing it she rings Willow who reports that hers is fine until we see that it has already hatched and taken over Willow's body like a parasite. Buffy is grounded by her mom who sees her dressed to go out. At the autopsy, Buffy and Xander are knocked out by controlled Willow and Cordelia, who then head to the basement with shovels. Joyce (Buffy's mom) comes to the library to pick up Buffy and is also controlled when attacked by another monster with the help of controlled-Giles. Buffy and Xander wake up to find two shaking eggs and smash them before they hatch. They follow a student to the basement. We find that most of the students and teachers are controlled, harvesting more eggs from a huge slime monster underground called the Bezoar. Buffy goes to find a weapon and finds the two brother vamps. Buffy fights against one while the other is eaten by the mother monster. Buffy is thrown in to the hole but not before grabbing a ice pick. Suddenly all the parasites drop of the students who return to normal and Buffy emerges covered in slime. The vamp runs off. Outside, they explain that it was a gas leak and Joyce finds Buffy and grounds her for lying about being at the library. That night Buffy and Angel make out but they aren't breaking any rules because he is sitting in the tree just outside her window. 
2.13 Surprise  Written by: Marti Noxon
Buffy has a dream of Drusilla killing Angel. Buffy tells Angel who is not worried. Next day, Willow encourages Buffy to go to the next stage with Angel while she is asked out by Oz as her date for Buffy's 16th B-day. Giles tells Buffy that Drusilla may be alive. At the factory Spike is sitting in a wheelchair and Drusilla is planning a party. Meanwhile, Jenny is approached by her Uncle and reveals that she is family to the gypsy clan that cursed Angel. He demands that Jenny break up Angel and Buffy as he is not meant to be happy. Jenny and Buffy are meeting Giles when they see some vamps carrying a box. Buffy fights with one crashing through  to the Bronze where the gang have planned their surprise party. When they open the box a arm lunges out choking Buffy. Angel traps the arm again telling them that it is the Judge, who could literally burn any human. It took an army to kill him and the parts were separated to stop him regenerating. Angel tells Buffy that he has to leave right now and take the box to the other side of the world. Saddened on her b-day, Angel gives Buffy a claddagh ring as a present. They are attacked by vamps who steal the arm again. Meanwhile at Drusilla's party, the Judge is being assembled. When Buffy and Angel come they find they are too late and are forced to escape into the sewers to Angel's lair. Alone they finally make love and fall asleep. Suddenly in the middle of the night, Angel wakes up in shock and stumbles out in the rain. He calls for Buffy but she is still asleep. 
2.14 Innocence  Written by: Joss Whedon
Buffy wakes up to find Angel gone. Outside, Angel is on the ground. A woman comes to see if he is alright when he turns around and feeds on her- Angelus is back. At the library, Buffy comes in to tell them that it is too late and asks if Angel has come in. At the factory, Angel appears and Spike orders the Judge to kill him but is unable because he is pure evil again. While researching, Xander and Cordelia make out but is seen by a devastated Willow. At Angel's lair Buffy finds Angel who brushes her off with cruelty. Jenny finds out from her Uncle that if Angel experiences one moment of true happiness or bliss his soul will be taken from him and is worried of the outcome. While Xander tries to explain to Willow, Angel appears and calls Willow over. Jenny appears with a cross just in time as Willow is captured. Buffy arrives and Angel throws Willow away, kisses Buffy and runs off. Giles then tries to figure out what triggered the change in Angel. Buffy runs out and Willow realizes what happened. At home, Buffy has another dream at a funeral where a hooded person is revealed to be Jenny. During a computer class, Buffy bursts in and grabs Jenny, demanding to know the truth. Jenny admits that she was sent her to watch Angel and that she is of the gypsy clan. Buffy orders her to redo the curse but she is unable. Xander decides that the Judge could not be destroyed by a forged weapon but maybe today's technology would work. He and Cordelia sneak into the army base and steal a huge gun while Willow sits in the van with Oz. Willow tries to kiss Oz who refuses as he knows that she just wants to make Xander jealous. At the mall, the vamps come in with the Judge who shoots a vaporizer bolt through all the people. He is stopped by a arrow shot by Buffy. She loads up the huge bazooka gun and takes aim. Angel and Dru realize what is going to happen and jump. The Judge is blown up into bits as the gang run to keep the parts separated. Buffy follows Angel to a showdown. Buffy is unable to kill him but kicks in in the groin. At home, Buffy has a quiet birthday with her mom and just watches as her candle on the cake dwindles.
2.15 Phases  Written by: Dean Batali and Rob Des Hotel
Willow is worried as Oz hasn't kissed her yet despite them going out. At night, Xander and Cordelia make out in their car when they are attacked by a werewolf and then drive off madly. Giles is excited about this werewolf because he has never seen one. In gym class, Xander becomes jealous of Oz and Buffy tries to be 'girly' but when Larry grabs her she flips him over without a sweat. Giles learns that werewolves change during the full moon and two nights after and before. Buffy's friend Theresa is walking home when approached by Angel. Giles and Buffy go out to capture the werewolf who is still a human being. Buffy is caught in a net and a hunter Cain comes with a gun. He releases her and explains he kills werewolves for money and leaves.  Buffy and Giles go to the Bronze where they find the werewolf has already been. It escapes and finds the body of Theresa drained. Buffy hears of Theresa's death and thinks it may be linked to the werewolf. In the morning, the werewolf changes back into a naked human- Oz. Oz learns from his aunt that his cousin is a werewolf who accidentally bit Oz last weekend. Xander thinks that Larry is the werewolf and confronts him only to find that Larry revealing he is gay. Xander and Buffy go to Theresa's grave as the reports didn't mention her being mauled. They go and find that she was bitten by a vampire. Theresa rises unexpectedly saying that Angel sent her and is dusted. At home, Oz finds some chains and shackles to stop him killing anyone tonight when Willow knocks on the door frantic. She decides to make the first move. Oz tries to get her out as it is nearly sunset. She argues with him and he suddenly changes turning into the werewolf. He chases her but is distracted by another scent. Willow bursts into the library and soon the gang heads out with a tranquilizer gun. Buffy finds Cain and kicks his shot gun aside. She fights Oz but Willow is forced to fire the tranquilizer into him. Buffy orders Cain to leave. Next day, Oz finds that Willow is still interested and she kisses him. 
2.16 Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered  Written by: Marti Noxon
At school Cordelia finds her friends teasing her for going out with Xander. Just leaving class Xander sees Amy staring at the teacher then handing her a imaginary assignment. Giles warns Buffy that Angel is known for doing horrible things on Valentine's day. Meanwhile Spike gives Dru a necklace when Angel shows up with a human heart for Dru. At night Buffy finds a box of roses with a message- soon. At the Bronze Xander finds Cordelia and gives her the gift but is abruptly dumped right after. Angry he blackmails Amy to do a love spell on Cordelia or he'll reveal that she's a witch.  After the spell is done, it seems to have no effect on Cordelia. However he finds himself in the library seduced by Buffy, flirting with Amy and chased by every female. He realizes that the spell worked on everyone but Cordelia. He goes home to find Willow waiting in his bed and escapes to the library to tell Giles. Amy and Buffy fight over Xander and Buffy is turned into a rat by Amy. Giles is furious at Xander as Oz and the gang try to find rat-Buffy. Xander goes out into the hall where he sees Cordelia in a fight against all the females who are angry that she dumped him. He rescues Cordelia and finds another mob of girls holding axes and etc. They rush into Buffy's house where Joyce starts seducing him. They rush upstairs where Xander is attacked by Angel. Drusilla suddenly appears and is also smitten, fighting off Angel to protect Xander. Meanwhile, Oz tracks rat-Buffy down to the basement. Giles and Amy reverse the rat spell. Meanwhile, Cordelia rescues Xander running down to the basement. Cordelia finds out that the spell was all for her. Buffy turns back into a human and finds she has no clothes on. The love spell is reversed just as the are all over Xander and Cordelia. Next day Harmony teases Xander who passes by and Cordelia suddenly starts yelling at Harmony that she can date who ever she want. No matter how lame.
2.17 Passion  Written by: Ty King
Buffy wakes up to find drawings of her asleep by Angel. At school she asks Giles to find a spell to reverse the invitation. Ms Calendar apologizes again to Giles who tells her she is apologizing to the wrong person. Buffy tells her mom that Angel is 'stalking' her and never to invite him in. While chatting on the phone with Buffy, Willow finds a envelope with her dead fish strung up on a line. next day Drusilla has a vision of danger from Ms Calendar who has bought a Orb of Thesulah to restore Angel's soul. Giles finds a spell to revoke an invitation and they perform it on Cordelia's car and Willows house. Cordelia finds another envelope with drawings of Joyce asleep. Meanwhile Joyce returns home to find Angel on the doorstep. He pleads to talk to Buffy and tells Joyce that they slept together.  At school Jenny is about to tell him about the spell but is stopped by his invitation to his house. Meanwhile at the magic shop Drusilla visits and kills the shopkeeper learning about Jenny's spell. At night at school, Jenny has finished the translation and saves onto a disk when she sees Angel. Angel destroys the computer and the orb as the disk falls between the tables. Ms Calendar is chased through the school until she runs into Angel who promptly snaps her neck. Buffy explains to her angry mom about Angel but eventually make up. Giles returns home to find a rose on his door, a message pointing upstairs and flower petals on the stairs. Happy he goes up to his room to find Ms Calendar's body on his bed. Shocked he drops the wine and stares blankly until the police come. Giles rings Buffy. At Buffy's house. Angel watches as the gang receive the news and crumble to tears. Giles then gathers weapons and heads for Angel's lair. He torches the place and starts pummeling Angel but is easily overcome. Buffy rushes in to help and Buffy and Angel fight. Just when she's winning Angel reminds her of Giles who is about to be burnt. Angel escapes as she rescues Giles. Giles is angry at Buffy but she punches some sense into him. Next day they stand over Jenny's grave and Willow appears in class as the new computer teacher.

Killed by Death  Written by: Rob Des Hotel and Dean Batali
Buffy gets the flu and when she is on patrol and fights Angel she collapses. At the hospital, Joyce reveals that Buffy has a phobia of hospitals ever since she saw her cousin Celia die in one. Xander stays to guard Buffy from Angel. When Buffy wakes at night she sees a small boy pass by the door followed by a tall boogeyman demon. Buffy has a flashback of when she was younger but wakes up thinking it was a dream. Getting up she hears two doctors arguing about a experimental drug on the children. The same little boy says that Death is coming and grownups can't see it. Angel pays a visit but is stopped by Xander. Next day, the gang visit and Buffy tells them of the demon and the doctors. Willow and Giles go research and find nothing strange about the doctor. Xander stays again to guard Buffy. At night, Buffy gets up to see the doctor injecting the drug into a girl. He is then killed by an invisible force as the scared kids watch. Next day, Buffy tells the gang that the doctor is dead and shows them a kid's drawing of the demon. Joyce comes to take Buffy home but she makes an excuse to stay. Willow finds a log in the doctor's office of a serum that rises their temperature, killing the fever. Cordelia finds that the demon is Der Kinderstood who pins down the victim and sucks the life out of them. Buffy has a flashback to when she was little seeing her cousin die. Her cousin was screaming and pushing at a invisible force when she died. Buffy finds that her cousin must have been killed by the demon and that she can only see Kinderstood if she is sick. Buffy drinks the fever and sees Kinderstood down in the basement with all the kids. She finds all the children cornered by the demon and begins to fight. She is weaker but finally snaps his neck. At home, Buffy gets a letter from the little boy with a drawing off Buffy killing the monster.
2.19 I Only Have Eyes For You  Written by: Marti Noxon
Buffy is at the Bronze depressed so she goes to see Giles. Meanwhile in the school hall a guy and girl a fighting, he brings a gun out yelling 'Don't walk away from me b*tch!' Buffy knocks it out just in time. The couple get up remembering  nothing and the gun disappears. Buffy dreams in class of a student and teacher holding hands. Waking suddenly she sees on the blackboard 'Don't walk away from me b*tch' written. Xander is then attacked by a arm in his locker which disappears. That night a teacher passes by a janitor when they suddenly start playing out the same scene as last night and he shoots her. Afterward the gun vanishes and the janitor is confused. Giles thinks the spirit is Jenny. Willow finds that in 1955 a student shot a teacher then himself. Buffy recognizes the student from her dream and guesses that they had an affair. Cordelia complains of the Sadie Hawkin's dance when all the food in the cafeteria  turns into snakes. Tonight, Willow, Xander, Buffy and Cordelia plan to exorcise the spirit. Giles meanwhile tries to contact Jenny.  They light their candles in different places and chant. Unfortunately it didn't work and they are chased out by a swarm of wasps. At Buffy's house, the gang deduces that the spirit is the student, James who is trying to be forgiven by replaying the act. Buffy is distant and harsh saying that James doesn't deserve to be forgiven. Buffy then hears a male voice calling her and goes to the school alone. The wasps allow her in where she meets Angel. They suddenly replay the scene too with Buffy as James and Angel as the teacher. Buffy shoots Angel who falls down. Buffy (James) goes to kill himself when Angel (teacher) rises back and stops Buffy. Angel (teacher) forgives Buffy (James) and they kiss. A lights surrounds them and when it darkens Angel changes back and shoves her away. Angel returns and washes his mouth out angrily.
2.20 Go Fish  Written by: David Fury and Carl Ellsworth
At a school beach party, a team swimmer is killed by a monster. Meanwhile Buffy befriends another swimmer who she soon finds is only interested in making out. She hits him but gets in trouble. The swimmer then is also killed in the canteen leaving his skin behind like the other swimmer. Xander sees a big 'creature from the big lagoon' monster. Buffy starts tracking the swim team members to protect them, when one is attacked by Angel. Strangely Angel spits out the blood, so the gang suspect they are taking drugs which may attract the monster. While patrolling in front of the locker Buffy hears screams and rushes in to find another lagoon monster and a swimmer. The swimmer then starts ripping his own skin off revealing another monster. They disappear off into the sewers. We then see the coach and school nurse arguing about the drugs that are making them more strong but also turning them into monsters. The nurse is then tossed into the sewers by the coach and eaten by the monsters. Meanwhile Xander finds out from the other swimmers that the drug is in the air of the sauna. Giles locks up the entire swim team in a cage while Buffy confronts the coach but is also tossed into the sewers with the monsters. Xander comes to the rescue helping Buffy out when the coach falls in and is eaten by his own team. We then see the monsters swimming out to sea...
2.21/22 Becoming (Part 1 and 2)  Written by: Joss Whedon
In Galway 1753 a young man sees a beautiful blonde. She vamps out and turns him into Angelus. At present Giles goes to see a new stone artifact and notices that it can be opened like a tomb. At school, Buffy declares that she is ready for the showdown with Angel. In London 1860, Drusilla is still human and heads for church were she confessed to the priest who is actually Angelus of her visions. In the present, Dru, Angel and Spike read up on the new artifact and Angel recognizes it. At school Buffy is studying when she drops her pencil and finds Ms Calendar's disk- the one with Angel's soul restoration. Angel and co. then steal the artifact. In Rumanian Forest Angel runs while a gypsy woman completes the spell to giving him his soul. At school, they show the rest of the gang the spell and only Xander is upset saying that Angel should pay. Meanwhile we learn from Angel inside is the demon Acathla who can swallow the Earth into Hell but was killed and turned to stone. Only someone worthy is able to pull it out and revive Acathla. Kendra visits again bringing a sword (the one used to kill Acathla) and it may the only hope if Acathla is revived. In Manhatten 1996, the restored Angel is living like a bum until he meets Whistler who shows him in LA 15yr old Buffy  when she first discovers she is the Slayer. Present, Angel feed on a human and smears blood on his hand and tries to pull the sword out but fails and says they'll ask an old friend. At school in class a vampire walks in and tells Buffy to meet Angel tonight then dies from the sunlight. Buffy meets alone and fights while at the library they attempt the spell. The gang are invaded by a group of vamps including Dru. Buffy realizes the trap and runs back. The gang try to fight but Willow is crushed under a bookcase, Xander is injured with a broken arm, Cordelia is chased out and Kendra is killed by Dru. Buffy runs slow motion and rushes in to find Kendra dead on the floor. As she kneels down a voice orders 'Freeze.'
She turns around to find the police and a happy Snyder who believe that she killed Kendra. Buffy escapes and in disguise goes to the hospital where Xander has a cast and Willow is unconscious. They find that Giles must have been taken by Angel for information on the ritual. At Buffy's home, Joyce hears about the incident from the police. At Giles's home Buffy meets Whistler who tells her that Angel was meant to stop Acathla but they didn't expect Buffy. Buffy leaves before Whistler tells her the key to stopping Acathla. A police officer stops Buffy but is knocked down by Spike who claims to want to help her. Buffy returns home and dusts a vamp in front of Joyce . She invites Spike in and tells Joyce that she is a vampire slayer. Meanwhile Willow wakes and Giles is tortured. Spike and Buffy make a deal that he'll help Buffy if she lets him take Dru out of here and will never come back. Joyce is in denial and fights with Buffy who needs to go. Joyce says that if Buffy leaves she can't come back but Buffy still goes. At the hospital Willow decides to try the spell again, while Buffy returns to school to get Kendra's sword finding Snyder who gleefully expels her. Giles is tricked into telling Angel the secret which is Angel's own blood by Drusilla who pretends to be Jenny. Buffy returns to ask Whistler how to stop Acathla who tells her that Angel's blood opens and closes the portal. She says she has nothing to lose but he quietly comments that she has one more thing. Xander is sent to tell Buffy that Willow is doing the spell but decides not to. Angel completes the ritual and Buffy rushes in. Xander rescues Giles while Spike rises out of his chair pummeling Angel. Drusilla and Spike fight until he knocks her down. Buffy and Angel start fighting while Willow does the spell. Halfway through she becomes possessed and speaks fast Latin. Spike carries Dru out to the car when Buffy is cornered by Angel. She fights back suddenly and is about to kill him. Willow completes the spell and Angel is restored. Buffy realizes the change and stops. Angel gets up not remembering anything and hugs her. Buffy kisses him and sees the portal already opened. She tells him to close his eyes and plunges the sword in to the shocked Angel sending him to Hell and stopping Acathla. Next day Joyce finds a farewell note in Buffy's room. The gang are at school wondering what happened and where Buffy is. Buffy is hiding behind a tree looking at her friends then leave with a duffel bag to get on the bus. She stares out the window at the passing sign 'Leaving Sunnydale. Come back soon!'
