Introduction: Project P.E.A.C.E. is a faith based education program created to give extensive insight into the gang life style. This information is aimed at educating clergy, parents, troubled teens, law enforcement officials, and offenders.
Topic: GANG INTERVENTION THROUGH SALVATION
Objectives: TO CREATE CONSCIOUS AND SECURE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES
Director: Samuel Jurado, born January 24, 1973, served as ambassador for the notorious Los Angeles Crip movement in Houston, Texas from 1986 to 1995. The birth of this plague unleashed a crime wave full of drugs, drive-by shootings, prison terms, fear, and even murder. He is currently incarcerated in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, at the maximum security Alfred Hughes Unit. Felony charges against him range from attempted murder to murder. Once he completes his State sentence, he awaits transfer to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
During August of 1995, Samuel was confined to a �rubber room� in the Harris County jail because of his �predatory� nature. There in that cold cell, he laid in his naked body in a fetal position. The night was silent. Suddenly, tears filled his eyes. One after another they fell to the floor. Clutching his hands together, he began to pray. Crying uncontrollably unto the Lord Jesus Christ, he pleaded for mercy and forgiveness. At that moment, the Glory of the Lord began to rain down on him from Heaven. Since that day, the life of Samuel Jurado has not been the same!
Personal Address: Living a dedicated CHRISTIAN life is the only solution to eradicating the escalating gang problem. Before more souls are lost, let us lead the active gang member to JESUS CHRIST and stop those who may be considering joining a gang before it�s too late. One life changed is one promising future now and for eternity.
