Ha!  Mom and I just discovered that we've been drinking decaf coffee since we got here!  That explains a lot!

Today Dad and Aaron have gone off to visit Bob Thorburn.  (I think I forgot to mention Bob visited last week.)  I slept in quite late after not going to bed until 3:00am.  There are no plans for today other than dinner at the Jewers' (Carolyn's family).  Mom wants to go to St. John's tomorrow, which means more visits to more relatives.  We might go Wednesday instead, since tomorrow is supposed to the only sunny day for the rest of my time here.  It would be a good day for a walk to the beach and up to Flat Rock.

We had a nice dinner at Uncle Davis and Aunt Bette's last night.  We had Aunt Daphne's fabulous cake for dessert, and I was given birthday presents from Uncle Davis and Aunt Bette, and Valerie and Paul, which was a nice surprise.  Jason and Beverley had both called earlier in the day and wished me a happy birthday too.

Dad drove me over to the Dwyers' at around 10:00pm.  I ended up having a really good time.  Danny and Lorna were there, Paul and Carolyn, Laura and Steve, Jane and Ian, Noel, Jane's friend Dawn and her boyfriend John, then John Kent and Neil Hynes came .  Kelly Ryan came by too.  She's always so friendly to me, as if we'd grown up together, much like my cousins.

My cousins gave me gifts, which was really unexpected and kind.  I had a quick chance to check email and made a super-quick update on my website (the first in a week).  Laura drove me home at 2:30 in the morning.

All in all, it was a good 30th birthday, spent with family.
