Piccolo is a namek. He first was 1 person with Kami-san, but Kami-san desided to get rid of his evil side, and Piccolo accured. In the serie Piccolo changes from pure Evil to Pure good. Then Kami-san and Piccolo fuse again, so they are one once more. When they do that they become a super namek.
