The film Buffy's watching at the end of the episode is 'Stowaway', a 1936 musical starring Shirley Temple, Alice Faye and Robert Young. Music: Chris Beck 'Close Your Eyes', 'Moment of Happiness' and 'Whats That Do'. Phases Director Bruce Seth Green's credits include episodes of 'American Gothic', 'Babylon 5' and 'V'. It's the song that James and Grace are dancing to, recreating the events of 1955. The only trouble is that the song wasn't recorded until 1958, and wasn't released until 1959, when it became a top 20 hit. Music: Chris Beck 'Love is forever', Splendid 'Charge'. The Flamingos 'I Only Have Eyes'. Go Fish Willow has a line: "Like an Oreo cookie, except for, you know, without the chocolaty cookie goodness". Becoming..pt1 It's here established that Darla turned the adult Angel into a vampire in 1753. 'Halloween' has him being eighteen years old in 1775, which makes his date of birth around 1756. This episode also contradicts the date that Angel's soul was restored. In 'Angel' it was implied that it happened in the 1920s. Here it's stated as having taken place in Romania, in 1898. If the building for Hemery High, Buffy's previous school, looks familiar, it may be because it was also used as the clock tower in the 'Back To The Future' movies. Music: Chris Beck 'As Angel Becomes', 'Cursed', 'Devil Child', 'Massacre' and 'Show Me Your World'. Becoming.....pt2 Some sources have the title of this episode as 'The Whistler', but this doesnt seem to be officially sanctioned. Music: Chris Beck 'Close Your Eyes', 'Cursed', 'Massacre', 'Vision of Jenny' and 'Waking Willow'. Sarah Mclachlan's 'Full of Grace' plays as Buffy leaves town. |
