                                              Giles is chosen to run the annual school talent show. Buffy, Xander and Willow
                                              enjoy teasing him until the new principal; Mr. Snyder forces them to enter the
                                              show.
                                              A student named Morgan auditions for Giles with his Dummy, Sid. While the
                                              scoobs are practicing their dramatic scene, Willow tells Morgan his act is
                                              improving.
                                              When a student takingh part in the talent show is found with her heart missing,
                                              Buffy and the others decide to investigate.
                                              The students they talk to all mention Morgan and his strange behavior.
When Buffy talks to Morgan they get into an argument and she becomes even more suspicious.
When Buffy checks out Morgans� locker, principal Snyder finds her and tells her that he thinks she is strange and he will be watching her.
That night at Buffys� home we see Sid outside. She wakes up when he tries to attack her.
The next day Buffy tells Giles, Willow and Xander she thinks Sid can move on his own. They are reluctant to believe her.
In history class Sid seems to stare at Buffy and then is taken away from Morgan by the teacher. Later Xander takes Sid so that Buffy can talk to Morgan alone, and, also to prove to her that Sid is just wood.
When Buffy searches for Morgan she finds him dead and his brain missing.
In the library Sid is missing.
After finding Morgan, Buffy is knocked unconscious and trapped by Sid, who
tries to stab her. She escapes and they fight, during the fight, Buffy finds out
Sid isn�t a demon.
He explains to Buffy and the rest that he was a demon hunter who was cursed
into the dummy and will only be freed when he kills the demon.
They decide to track the students in the talent show.
When Buffy finds out the demon rejected Morgans� brain because he had a
tumour, they think Willow may be next, as it would seem to need the brain of someone very inteligent. They then realise that Giles may be the next victim.
                                              The bumbling magician from the talent show, tricks Giles into helping him with a
                                               'magic guillotine' trick. He readies Giles head to harvest his brain.
                                               Buffy, Xander and Willow save Giles and Sid gets to kill the demon and be
                                               released from the dummy.
                                               Buffy and the others still have to perform in the talent show and they fumble
                                               their way through their dramatic reading until Willow runs off stage.
