Buffy, while still living in L.A, had discoverd that she was a vampire slayer. A chosen one,Born to hunt and kill Vampires and Demons, endowed with superhuman strength and agility. Unfortunately, she had been expelled from her last school due to a vampire related incident in which the school gymn burnt down, for which she was blamed! It's night time and at the school that Buffy is due to attend, a young boy and girl have broken in, with the supposed intention of 'making out' on the roof of the gymn! The girl seems nervous and worries that they may not be alone, but the boy is reassuring, telling her that there is no one else there. The young girl accepts this and when she next turns to the boy she is in full Vamp face and goes for his throat! During her first day at her new school, Buffy makes the aquaintance of Willow, a computer Nerd, Cordelia, the school bitch and Xander and Jesse, class clowns and losers. It is while looking for a text book in the library that she also meets Mr Giles the new librarian. He informs her that he is her new Watcher ( trainer and Guide in vampire slaying.) Buffy goes into denial mode and exits the library! Meanwhile, a boys body has been found in the girls locker room with puncture wounds in the neck. Buffy returns to Giles, who tells her that Sunnydale is a hotbed of Mystical energy, all sorts of vampires and demons are drawn there! Buffy Exits, pretty pissed off that she once again has to be a slayer. Xander appears from behind the bookshelves looking bemused, having just overheard the conversation that Buffy and Giles have had! In the corridor Giles tells Buffy that something bad is due to happen very soon in Sunnydale. Meanwhile, deep underground is a nest of vampires. They are trying to raise a powerful vampire known only as The Master. On the way to a local club,called The Bronze, Buffy meets a mysterious and handsome stranger. He warns her about something called 'The Harvest' and gives her a silver cross to wear. He leaves and Buffy continues on to the Bronze. Once inside she meets up with Willow and gives her some advice about dating, telling her to sieze the moment. Giles shows up at the Bronze and Buffy tells him about the mysterious stranger. She then spots Willow leaving with a vampire ( having listened to Buffy's advice about seizing the moment.) Buffy takes off after them , after accidently attacking Cordelia! The vamps in the underground nest have finally succeeded in raising the Master. Unfortunately for him, he is trapped underground and only can become freed when The Harvest happens! Outside, Buffy bumps into Xander, who teases her about Vampires and makes fun of her Stake! They follow Willow to a Crypt in the Graveyard, where they find two Vampires, Thomas and Darla! They also find Jesse, who has already been bitten by Darla! Buffy quickly kills the male Vamp, and then starts to fight Darla, While Willow, Xander and Jesse make their escape from the Crypt! Another Vampire, Luke, appears and takes over fighting Buffy from Darla! This Vampire is seriousley strong! Meanwhile, Willow, Xander and Jesse are attacked in the Graveyard by a large gang of Vamps! Back in the Crypt, Luke has managed to throw Buffy into a stone sarcophagus and is just about to go in for the Kill, When....................... Episode summary by Spacenewt |
