Luke is just about to bite Buffy when he touches the cross that the
mysterious stranger had given her. It burns him and he runs off in pain!
Buffy runs out of the crypt and into the Graveyard, where she manages to
rescue Willow and Xander from the Vampires who were attacking them.
However, Darla and Luke have still got Jesse and take him to the Master.
Back at the library, the Buffy gang decide that the Master must be in the
sewers that run under Sunnydale, Buffy realises that since Luke appeared
from behind her, there must be an entrance in the Crypt!
Giles and Willow research The Harvest while Buffy slips out of school ( after being stopped by principal Flutie ) and heads off to rescue Jesse.
In the crypt Buffy meets up with the mysterious stranger and she finds out that his
name is Angel.
Angel tells her that tonight is the Harvest. He also tells her which direction to take to
find Jesse. She sets off to fight the master on her own.
Xander surprises Buffy in the tunnels, having followed her and he insists on helping
her. They find Jesse, who is chained up and release him. Vampires appear and they
take refuge in a room, at which point Jesse vamps out and attacks them.
They manage to kick him out and barricade the door,
but it looks like it won't take long until the Vampires manage to break their
                                               way in!
Noticing a vent in the ceiling they hoist themselves up and escape through it.
The Master is not pleased that they escaped and kills the vampire he holds
responsible. Luke then drinks from the Master and becomes The Vessel!
Every soul that he takes will make the Master stronger, until he is eventualy
                                               able to free himself.
Back at the library Giles explains how the Master was trapped underground during a big earthquake back in 1932, and that he can only be freed when one of his followers becomes The Vessel.
Xander figures out that the vampires will attack The Bronze and Buffy goes home to get ready. Once home Buffy's mum grounds her, forcing Buffy to leave via the window.
The vamps, led by Darla and Luke, attack The Bronze and Luke starts to feed off the patrons, making the Master stronger in the proccess.
Luke is about to bite Cordelia, when Buffy and the gang show up. Buffy and Luke fight and Willow and Giles help people out of the club.
Jesse attempts to bite Cordelia but Xander arrives and manages to stake him
(sort of accidentaly.)
Buffy smashes a window and manages to trick Luke into thinking that the sun
has risen, while he is off guard, she stakes him.
All of the remaining vampires run away and the Master remains trapped in his
underground lair.
The next day, at school, everyone is of the opinion that it was 'gangs' who
attacked The Bronze!
