When one of the girls trying out catches on fire during her routine, Buffy becomes suspicious, When Cordelia is struck blind during her drivers ed' class, Giles figures out that someone is using witchcraft to make it onto the team! Buffy, Willow and Xander all suspect Amy, a classmate, who is desperate to make the squad because her mom used to be head cheerleader! Buffy decides to talk to Amy's mom, Catherine, after a Witch test that Willow does on Amy, proves positive. Meanwhile, Buffy and her mom argue over Buffy's past problems! Xander decides he has to let Buffy know he likes her and wants them to date. Before he can tell her, he and Willow find Buffy acting strangely and she gets thrown off the squad. They realise that she has been bewitched! Giles discovers that the spell Buffy is under will kill her if they can�t find the cure. When Giles and a sick Buffy confront Amy�s mom they find out she is actually Amy! Catherine has switched their bodies. Giles finds Catherine�s spell book and works to reverse all the previous spells on the cheerleaders and save Buffy! The reversal spell works and Catherine is back in her own body. Determined to get rid of her daughter once and for all, she casts another spell, but Buffy interupts and deflects the spell back to Catherine and Catherine dissapears! Amy and Buffy talk about Amy and her dad spending time together. They wonder about what happened to her mom! A cheerleading Trophy that Amy's mom helped to win is in the High School Trophy cabinet! It is shown as having a muffled voice and frantic, human eyes! |
