7. Angel

It�s fumigation night at the Bronze and kids trade dead cockroaches for free drinks. 
Willow and Buffy talk about Angel, and Buffy admits she has a crush on him and that when he�s around she notices only him. Willow says she understands because she feels the same about Xander. 
When Buffy leaves the Bronze she is attacked by 'The Three', a group of warrior vampires sent after her by the master. 
Angel appears and helps her, but the vampires are strong, so they are forced to run to Buffy�s house for safety. A few minutes later Joyce, Buffy�s mom, comes in and Buffy introduces Angel as a college student who is helping to tutor her with history. 
She sneaks Angel up to her room and he sleeps on the floor. 
The next day at school Buffy tells Giles about the warrior vampires. Giles also trains her with the quarterstaff, which Buffy masters quickly !
When Buffy gets home, she talks to Angel, who has been hiding in her room all day. At first she thinks that he has read her diary and nervously tells him that the �A� mentioned is not him. He tells her he didn�t read her diary, that it was her mother who moved it while cleaning!
                                          They move closer together and end up kissing. 
                                          Suddenly, Angel turns into a vampire and Buffy screams in shock as he jumps out
                                          of her window.
                                          At school next day, Xander tells her that she knows what she has to do, and Buffy
                                          admits to them that she's fallen in love with Angel.
                                          At Angel�s apartment Darla, (the female vampire from the 1st episode) is waiting
                                          for him. They talk and she reminds him that he�s not human. He tells her he�s not
                                          a regular vampire either. 
Giles and the rest do research to find information about Angel and discover that he�s 240 years old and used to go by the name Angelus. 
Giles says there is no mention of him killing or hunting humans in the last eighty years, but before that he was like any other vampire causing destruction and death. 
In The Master�s lair, Darla tells him she has a plan to bring Angel back to them.
That night Buffy and Willow discuss Angel as they study at the library unaware that Darla is listening. 
At Buffy�s house, her mom, Joyce, invites Darla in, when she passes herself off as Buffy�s study friend.
Darla then attacks her and Joyce passes out. Just then, Angel arrives and he
and Darla  talk. Darla tries to entice him to finish off Joyce.
He refuses and Darla throws Joyce into Angels arms and hurriedly leaves, just
as Buffy arrives home, where she sees Angel, Vamped out and clutching her
unconscious mother.
He jumps out of the window and Buffy threatens to kill him. 
While Joyce is in the hospital, not remembering what happened, Buffy tries to
figure out where she�ll find Angel so she can kill him.
After Buffy leaves, Joyce tells Giles she doesn�t know what happened to Darla, Buffy�s �friend�. 
Giles, Xander and Willow go in search for Buffy to let her know that Darla bit her mom, not Angel. 
At the closed Bronze, Buffy and Angel meet and he tells her he killed his family and anyone else he wanted to, for a hundred years until he fed off a favored gypsy girl and her clan cursed him with a soul. 
Darla joins them and Buffy finds out that she was the Vampire who sired (made) Angel. 
Darla produces a pair of guns and shoots Angel, then she and Buffy fight. Giles, Xander and Willow try to help but it�s Angel that eventualy kills Darla, staking her. 
                                          The next night at the Bronze, Buffy and Angel agree that their relationship can�t
                                          go anywhere, but it is clear that they have strong feelings for each other and they
                                          kiss tenderly. 
                                          Buffy leaves and doesn�t see that her cross has left a burn on Angels chest.
