This one's just as juicy as abortion, though does have national implications for any candidate, regardless of whether they finesse it or callously play to it.
Democraps love to play and flash the race card at every opportunity, real or trumped up; some Republican'ts wish it would go away like a bad popcorn fart in an elevator, and others wonder whatever happened to Dr. M. L. King's dream about a world that's colorblind? Sure, there are freaks on the Right who shop in the cheap bedding section of Idjits R Us and keep Adolph Hitler's Mein Kampf with their Bibles next to their beds; they're a moron minority and truth be told, exist in both parties. A few of them on the liberal side are current-day Democrap senators who've had a 'change of heart', real or faked, which is disingenuously overlooked by an unconcealed-bias media.
And there's a racism-for-profit minority within a minority on the Left who believe and practice being outrageously offended as loudly as possible -- regardless of how stupid they look to their mainstream peers -- is necessary to keep the easily-fooled and under-educated voters believing that whatever their personal cirmcumstances, the only way to avoid being re-enslaved is by liberal government action. And those many who've made it with little to no help save for their own hard work and desire to succeed and excel, a many who are increasing annually? They are loudly and crassly defamed as "race traitors" and "Uncle Toms".
I ax ya, who would you rather hold up as in keeping with the dream of MLK: a justice on the US Supreme Court, or the former Chief of the General Staff and now US Secretary of State, or the current National Security Advisor, or an educated, articulate college professor and writer, or a host of others of position and influence? OR, a philandering extortionist who leads a so-called coalition of like-minded crooks who try to blackmail money out of corporations to further their own enriched lifestyles, in the demeaning name of racial equality, while demeaning those of self-accomplished and prestigious means?
The National Barking Spider Resurgence Party's stance on race relations is thus: the only place where color matters is on a traffic light/sign, the sporting fields or a HAZMAT chart. Simply put, if you're wearing a blue and orange uniform, and you throw the ball to a drug-abusing thug in a silver and black uniform, that's not politically correct; it's an INTERCEPTION, you boob. And color differentiation is absolutely necessary during a NASCAR Winston Cup or Busch series race; I can think of nothing worse than cheering for Jeff Gordon, when I'm rooting hard for that Viagra car.
I'm getting old enough to appreciate the Viagra stuff, but I digress again.
Message to the faux-pretenders of MLK's dream: try having the moral and ethical courage and gumption to reject condescending DNC talking points, reject second class status within a party that needs to keep a portion of the population down to keep them angry, and start promoting the accomplishments of the proud, prominent and legitimate players in American culture and society today. Celebrate Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, Thomas Sowell, Tiger Woods, Ward Connerly, J. C. Watts, etc. They aren't the race traitors or the loudest, most unabashed and disingenuous segregationists going these days: those of you who thrive on and profit from race-baiting, are the true traitors and roadblocks to racial equality.
Bill Cosby has it right; John Conyers and Maxine Waters, bad dumb wrong.
And one last point on race relations: NASCAR, drop your ticket prices, so more folks CAN attend the races. Sheesh.
