202.1 Johann Yost HECK, b. 10 May 1754, Berks Co, PA, bpt. 26 May 1754, d. 20 Jul 1825, Monongalia Co., VA., m. c1787, Susannah "Betsy" EXLINE, b. c1770, d/o George and Maria EXLINE. In 1779 he lived in Brunswick Twp., Berks Co., and served in the Revolutionary War. In 1767, he was taxed 12 pounds in Berks Co., for 150 acres, 3 horses, 3 cattle, and 4 sheep. He later moved to Washington Co., MD, then to Monongalia Co., VA. Here he was known as as Justus HECK. He owned 1500 acres of land between the headwaters of the Youghiogheny and Cheat Rivers, now part of Marion Co., WV. On 18 Mar 1818, he was pensioned under an act of Congress for Revolutionary Service. He enlisted 1 Jan 1778, Berks Co., PA, under Capt. Crist, 13th PA Reg., commanded by Col. Walter Stewart,  fighting at White Plains, Long Island, Iron Hill, Brandywine, and Germantown. He is buried in HECK Cemetery, near Rivesville, Marion Co. (FH26, 30, PABEB9, 16, 20, WV6, WVMMI10, WVMNB1 p388, 3 p445, 10) Children:
