Justus was a farmer in Marion Co., WV. His will, written 9 Jun ____?, names wife, sons, George, Addam, Phillip, Justice, David, and daughters, Sarah , Rachel, and Elizabeth. Witnesses to the will were John West, John Dewies, Joshua Thorn, and John Long. His wife, and son, George, were the executors. In the 1880 census, Jane SMITH, Milly's sister, age 75, is living in her household. In 1850 he was living in Marion Co. In 1860 Amelia, widowed was living at Nuzum Mills, Marion Co., with Jane SMITH 47, her sister in the household. In 1870 Amelia was listed in Wnfield District, and also counted in Union District, Marion Co. In 1880 she is in Union Distrist, with Jane SMITH living in the household. The death records of Justus HECK consistentely name the his parents as Justus K. and Martha Ann HECK, probably a result of misreporting by the person who gave the information.
