202.1g2 Jonathan McGee HECK, b. 5 May 1831, m. 10 Mar 1859, Monongalia Co., VA, Martha 'Mattie' Anna CALLENDINE, b. c1843, Monongalia Co., d/o Martin and Ann CALLENDINE. He was an attorney in Morgantown, Monongalia Co., VA (WV), with P. C. HECK. He was admitted to the WV Bar on 9 Sep 1858. He was member of the Union Liberty Society organized  1 Jan 1857, part of a committee that organized the Morgantown WV Gymnasium in 1859. Jonathan, along with Benjamin F. Smith were given right to furnish gas and water for 50 years to the borough. They unsucessfully drilled for gas, and the rights were revoked. He held the rank of Col. in the Confederate Army, was later a purchasing agent for the Confederate Government. His military group was name "Heck's Rifles." In the 1880 census, the family was in Raleigh, Wake Co., NC. The oldest daughter, husband, William H. PACE, and one child were living in the household. They also had a cook, two domestic servants, and a nurse in the home. Jonathan was a witness to the will of his father-in-law, Martin CALLENDINE, 31 Jan 1880. In 1900 adn 1920, Mrs. M. A. HECK was living in 2nd. Ward, Raleigh, NC. (FH26, 30, NCWK1, 2, 4, 7WVMNB1, 4, 7) Children:

202.1g2a Mary Louisa "Lulu" HECK b. 1860 d. 1893, m. 1878, William Hartwell PACE. W. H. PACE was a witness to Martin B. CALLENDINE'S will. In 1880, they were living with Mary's parents in Raleigh, Wake Co., NC. William H. died bef. 1890. In 1900, Mary and children were living in 2nd. Ward, Raleigh, Wake Co., NC. (FH26, 30, NCWK2, WVMNB1) 3 children, 1 known:

202.1g2b Fannie Exline Scudder HECK b. 1862 d. 1915, published "Sunrise" and other poems in 1916. (FH26, 30)

202.1g2c Minnie Callendine HECK b. 1864 d. 1907, m. Bryan Grimes COWPER, b. Apr 1860, NC. His parents were natives of WV. In 1900, they were living in W. Raleigh, Wake Co., NC. According to the 1900 census, they had one child who died. (FH26, 30, NCWK2) Children:

202.1g2e George Callendine HECK, b. 1869, m. 1st. Eugena Morehead GRAY, m. 2nd. Hellen BROOKS, had two daugters, (1) not named, and (2) Marie Brooke HECK, m. James Tileston BALDWIN, res. Glen Head, NY. (FH26, 30)

202.1g2g Mattie Anna HECK, b. 1873, m. Joseph Dozier BOUSHALL. (FH26, 30, NCWK2, 3)  5 sons.

202.1g2g2 Joseph D. BOUSHALL, b. 21 Aug 1892, d. Aug 1966, New York City, NY. In 1900 and 1910 Joseph was an insurance salesman living in the 2nd. Ward, Raleigh, Wake Co., NC. In 1920, he was listed as a salesman, and lodger in a single dwelling, living in the 2nd. Ward, in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., PA, with one Edna V. Stoner, age 30, b. OH, who was a stenographer. It is not certain if he ever married.(NCWK2-4, PAPH13, US1)

202.1g2g3 Thomas C. BOUSHALL, b. 28 Mar 1894, NC, d. 10 May 1992, Richmond, Richmond Co., VA. A search on Yahoo for Thomas C. BOUSHALL will bring up multiple hits, too many to include in this text. The compiler was unable to locate an obituary online. In the Richmond, Thomas C. BOUSHALL Middle School history, it states: 

"Thomas C. Boushall Middle School located in the southwestern portion of Richmond, Virginia is a neighborhood school situated on 19 acres of land. The school opened in August 1986 and is named for the late Thomas C. Boushall, founder and former executive officer of the Bank of Virginia. He served as a member of the Richmond City School Board form 1946- 1953 and the State Board of Education from 1953-1958. He was a founding director of the Virginia Foundation for Independent College and also a driving force in the creation of Central Virginia Educational Television Corporation--WCVE- Channel 23.It was Mr. Boushall's expressed belief that "if the people of Virginia hope to make their state a better, happier and more profitable place to live, it is essential that its youth be educated to function properly in a modern economic and social environment.   http://www.richmond.k12.va.us/schools/boushall/

202.1g2k Charles McGee HECK, b. 1881, m. Maude Elizabeth WILLIAMS. He was head of Physical Department, NC State College. Charles M. HECK compiled unpublished notes on Raleigh, NC history. The papers are in the Charles M. HECK Collection in the state archives. (FH26, 30, NCWKB1 p15, NCWK4) 1 son.
