In the teaming jungle of Leic-Arrian Southern Hemisphere there have recently
been discovered a complex of strange buildings and what appears to be a temple.
This site pre-dates the human colonists and no one is sure exactly how long
they have been there, who built them or even why they were built.
Now it is a race to capture and secure the area.
Beware also of the local flora (no, not the margarine!).

The equatorial jungle of Leic Arrous 4 was the 4th site of mass carnage, with the dawn light showing 3 armies presence descending on ancient ruins. Their goal? To search the jungle for hidden treasure. Here the mechanised might of the Necron lords appeared against the Eldar wraithguard and lords, these mechanised ghost warriors being accompanied by an Eldar Phantom tank. Amongst the overgrown ruins of what might have been a temple or city,
the shadowy figures of the Catchin guard lead by Iron hand were glimpsed.
In this battle gause rifles faced wraith cannons, bobby trapped paths
caught the unsuspecting. Finding themselves out gunned and out numbered
Iron hand put up a valiant struggle. The Necrons were the first target
of the Eldar, with their Destroyers crashing into the undergrowth. It
was not long before these mechanical mysteries faded into the jungle mist.
It was then the guard who become the target of the Eldar. |

What caused the Eldar to be both so ruthless and
to descend in such force?

This question was only answered as the battle drew to an end. The Eldar were here to investigate reports from their Pathfinders of possible Eldar lost warp technology. Ruins had been found in the jungle and this was why they had landed in such force. It was also the reason the force from the bridge had with withdrawn and why the Eldar had destroyed the Communication relay post, thereby preventing the imperial forces to organise a cohesive counter strike. |
This was not the end of the jungle warfare, with the Dark Eldar assaulting in 3 separate waves, though the defending force repulsed each. Eventually a force of Dark Angel arrived to face the Eldar. Even the might of the Emperors warriors were no match for the Eldar, though one Dreadnought put up a truly historic fight surviving 17 hits from brightlances and scatter lasers.
