Statement of our identity
Christ's Youth in Action is a Catholic movement of young Filipinos dedicated to evangelizing the youth, and training leaders for the service of the Church. We serve colleges, universities, parishes and renewal groups in the Philippines and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region. We do so in collaboration with other "Partners in Mission," among whom are:
- Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon Community
- The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals
- FAMILIA
- Ang Lingkod ng Panginoon
- Women For Christ
- Institute For Pastoral Development
- Tahanan ng Panginoon
- Word of Joy Foundation
Our Motto
"Kay Kristo Buong Buhay Habambuhay!"
- "We love, because he first loved us." (1 John 4:19) If God did not first love us, we would not know how to love Him. Hence, our love for Christ is simply a response to His overwhelming goodness to us, as expressed in His coming to earth and redeeming us.
- We want to give Christ our whole lives. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37) This great commandment requires us to offer everything, all that we are, to Him who is our all.
- Finally, we want to follow Christ for the rest of our lives. Our being disciples is a lifelong task. "I will praise the Lord as long as I live." (Psalm 146:2) Like St. Paul, we want to be able to say, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." (2 Timothy 4:7)
Our Goal
Our goal is to bring as many Filipino college students to a renewed relationship with Jesus Christ and to active participation in the life and mission of the Church. To bring them into committed relationships with other serious followers of Christ, and to share in the life and mission of some kind of smaller Christian community, and to train leaders who can help accomplish the above two goals and purposes.
