As your son advances within the ranks of cub scouts, his uniform takes on more importance, particularly as a model for the younger scouts.  Scouts should remember that shirts should be tucked in the pants and shoe laces should be tied.

Webelos scouts should own or purchase the following items:

Cub Scout shirt (blue) or Boy Scout shirt (tan) -  A short sleeve shirt is recommended.  In the colder months, your son can always wear a long sleeve shirt beneath the short sleeve shirt.  If you buy a cub scout shirt, he will be able to wear it for his two (2) years as a webelos.  However, if you buy a boy scout shirt, it should be large enough for him to wear throughout the years of boys scouts.  At the Keystone Council store, the short-sleeve cub scout shirt costs  $21.80, while the boys scout shirt costs $23.05.

Scout Pants -  If your son is wearing the blue cub scout shirt, neat blue jeans or pants are usually worn.  In warmer weather, blue shorts are acceptable.  This pack does not require boys to wear the official blue uniform pants.  However, if your son is wearing the boy scout shirt, then he needs to wear the matching olive green boy scout trousers at a cost of $36.30.

Webelos Handbook -  The handbook costs $5.50.

Webelos Hat -  This hat is optional, however, most boys have one.  The hat costs $11.50.

Webelos Neckerchief -  The neckerchief costs $5.65.

Webelos Slide -  The slide costs $2.20.

Belt with Webelos belt buckle -  The belt is optional but most boys purchase one especially as they earn belt loops as part of the Cub Scout Sports and Academics Program.  Small belts cost $6.15, while large belts cost $8.45 each.  The belt buckle can be purchased separately.

Webelos Colors/Streamers -  The colors/streamers are optional, as boys place their activity badge pins on either the streamer or their hat.  Many boys choose the streamers for a neater look and reduce the number of pins sticking through their hats and into their heads.  The streamer costs $3.20.

Keystone Area Council shoulder patch, numbers for Pack 190 and Patrol emblems -  The Keystone Area Council shoulder patch costs $2.00.  Numbers for Pack 190 cost $.80 each (three are needed for 1, 9 and 0).  The patrol emblems cost ?
