| The KRKO Radio Project (SR-Broadcasting) |
| Everett radio station, KRKO plans to increase its broadcast signal from 5,000 watts to 50,000 watts. The signal boost will allow the station to be easily heard from Olympia to the Canadian boarder. It plans to accomplish this goal by erecting seven radio antennas in the Snohomish River Valley, approximately three miles south of the city of Snohomish and four miles northwest of the city of Monroe..
KRKO has asked Snohomish County for permission to erect one 349 foot towers and an six 199 foot antennas. The antennas are planned for a 38 acre parcel of floodplain property that is just northwest of Lord�s Hill, and east across the Snohomish River from the Kenwanda/Fiddler�s Bluff neighborhood, and north of the Bob Heirman Wildlife Park.
