Taken in 1923 Christian Hansen was born in St. Knuds Parish, Odense, Denmark on 23 March 1871 and he died in Louisiana in June of 1931. His father was Rasmus Hansen and his mother was Maren Andersen. Christian married Magdalena Herrera in Cuba in 1900 and they had eight boys: In the front row of the top photo: Robert, John, Henry. In the second row: Christian Peter, Magdalena, Christian, and Daniel. The back row: Andrew, Ramon, and Frank. This picture was taken in 1924, just before departing Cuba for the the USA. There is no record of Christian Hansen becoming a US citizen, but he was in the US prior to the Spanish-American War and several times in about 1917-1918, again in 1923, and finally in 1924-1931. He was a blacksmith, wheelwright and farmer. From about 1916 to the late 1920s, he owned the Bocage Plantation in Darrow, LA.
Christian Peter Hansen, Sr. Christian was born in Marianao, Havana, Cuba on 26 December 1909, he died in Baton Rouge, LA on 21 June 1991. He and his parents and sibling immigrated to Louisiana in 1924. He was a naturalized as US Citizen in 1940. He married Catherine "Cassie" Walsh on 14 June 1930.
