Williamson Family SC>LA>MS>LA

The earliest record of the Williamson family is in South Carolina in 1790. Jesse Williamson, born 1760 location unknown, but believed to be the Darlington District of South Carolina and died in Copiah County, Mississippi in 1827. Jesse married Mary Windham, born 1763 in South Carolina and died in Copiah County, MS. Jesse and Mary are maternal ancestors of Jeanette Griffin. They had lived for a few years in Felicana Parish, LA in about 1820. Jesse fought in the Revolutionary War, as well as, in the War of 1812.

One of Jesse and Mary Williamson's sons, Amos Williamson, was born 1792 in South Carolina and died before 1850 in West Carroll Parish, LA. Amos married Easter Cranfield in 1820 in Felicana Parish Louisiana. They lived in Copiah County, MS in the 1830 US Census and West Carroll Parish, LA in the 1840 US Census. They had 6 children.

William Jasper Williamson, 1824-1875, son of Amos Williamson and Easter Cranfield. William Jasper was born in Copiah County, MS and died in West Carroll Parish, LA.

Jesse Lee Williamson, 1866-1912, son of William Jasper Williamson and Sarah Worsley. Jesse Lee was born and died in West Carroll Parish, LA. 

Ward Dell Williamson

Ward Dell Williamson, 1893-1927, son of  Jesse Lee Williamson and Annie Boutwell. Ward Dell was born and died in West Carroll Parish, LA.
