How can I print our or save my Favorite Places?

To get a list of your Favorite Places locations, simply drag and drop them one by one from your Fave places folder into a blank text form or E-mail box, then print it out or save it. If you�re simply printing out a list, doing it this way will only give you a list of titles, NOT the actual URL�s. To do that you�ll have to go into Favorite Places, select each Place you want a URL for, click on Edit, then use Copy/Paste to past the URL that pops up into an E-mail form or text box.

My system hangs/loads slowly/boots me offline/generally acts poorly. Why?

Have you emptied your cache folder lately? To do this, click on My AOL or Settings (depeding on your version), Preferences, WWW...then select Advanced. Click Clear History and Delete Files.

I can no longer change or sign on with my password. Why?

It sounds like you've likely downloaded a Trojan Password stealer program. Go to Keyword VIRUS INFO for information on Trojan programs, and how to remove them safely. Removing them incorrectly can possibly damage your system! Good luck.

My AOL sounds don't work, but others do. What�s wrong? Try the following:

Click on My AOL or Settings (depending on your version), Preferences, General, and be sure the box marked Enable Event Sounds is checked. If not, click on it, and the sounds should work.

Check and be sure your speakers are turned on

Adjust your speaker volume, both on the speakers and in Windows by clicking the speaker icon on your taskbar.

Go into your Windows Control Panel under Sounds, then select an Event whose sounds are missing from the Event box. Click on it to highlight. Now, check the small Sounds box underneath....the sound file for that event should pop up.

If not, scroll the list there, find it, and click it. Click Apply. Repeat for other sounds.

If you found NO AOL sounds, you will need to reinstall AOL.
