AOL HELP

AOL is the largest Online Content Provider in existence. I have enjoyed their diverse and vast forums for years, during which I became a certified Master AOL user and have made many online and "live" friends!  However, as with any software or service, AOL is not without problems. That is why I have created this FAQ area. I hope you find it useful. If you do not find the answer you need here, feel free to Contact Me .

(NOTE: This page is independent from and not officially affiliated with America Online, Inc. I am not an employee of
AOL, please do not Email me with questions about your billing or requests to access your account directly
.)

Getting General Online Help on AOL:

  • Click HELP or the ? icon on the AOL Toolbar (depending on your version)
  • Go to Keyword: HELP
  • Go to Keyword: MHM (This stands for Members Helping Members)
  • New and want general info? AOL offers New member classes. Visit Keyword HELP CLASS for more information
  • For live tech support chat, go to Keyword: HELP and click the Live Chat option

One of the first areas I encountered when joining AOL wayyy back in 1993 was the Members Helping Members area listed above. In MHM, fellow AOL users volunteer their time to answer questions to your problems, often (dare I say?) having more information and knowledge than AOL's own support techs. For those on the hourly plan, this is in a "free" area so you can browse for answers to questions to your heart's content.

If the above suggestions don't help you or you can't get online at all to access AOL's help features, you can call AOL directly at (800)827-6364.
