Description:
Updates the game to v3.89. This version is the full install and will overwrite your current database. It is SAVE GAME COMPATIBLE and includes ALL the fixes in v3.84, v3.86 and v3.88(a).
Fixes and changes:-
* Relaxed financial controls for larger clubs at the request of fans.
* Lessened advantage to players who are dominating the game (ie. lots of passes).
* Improved MLS fixture scheduling
* Greek Cup now uses national stadium for final
* Greek teams are now limited to 6 non EU players for matches
* Fixed bug in African World Cup qualification seeding routine
* Updated version of the editor (1.0.4). A whatsnew.txt can be found in the 'editor' directory of your CM install.
* Tuning of manager release clauses
* Corrected number of subs for several competitions
* Norwegian striker of year award now uses ratings rather than goals scored to find winner
* Fixed some Polish schedules and other issues
* Canada now always play in Confederations Cup 2001
* FA Trophy 2nd round no longer clashes with 1st round of FA Cup
* Changed some Copa America teams
* There was a problem with Virtual staff having a blank staff screen which has now been fixed
* Improved German clubs financial management (lowered stadium costs, increased ticket prices)
* Improved tactical selections for managers who prefer 451 and 343 formations
* Added in a couple of new tactics (451 and 343 formations).
* Fixed some Scottish Premier Division dates
* All Dutch teams playing in Europe now miss the group stage of the Dutch Cup
* Finnish month awards now are always awarded regardless of game start date
* Adjusted some fitness update variables to limit player fitness levels dropping too much
* Olympics 2004 now held in Greece
* Turkish teams now limited to 6 foreigners in squad
* Italian loan deals can now only be terminated in valid transfer windows
* Stopped Finnish teams loaning players for a month in preseason
* Fixed bug in which '0' may appear on some Spanish finance screens
* Norwegian First Division now starts later
* Keepers are now affected more from training
* Australian league games are now no longer televised
* All Oceanic players are now not treated as foreigners in Australia
* Removed foreigner restriction for MLS All Stars Game
NOTE : We believe that there is a corrupt version of the patch that affects the amount of media messages displayed - this version corrects that!
