there is no sin in love, no meaning to numbers, and no control over our hearts
Have you ever noticed how age means nothing unless we make something of it? People with many years between them can still talk and have much in common, they can understand each other and have fun. Age is just a number, just digits, another way of catagorizing which means nothing until we make it mean something. I talked to a thirty year old woman today and it was one of the best conversations I've ever had. We talked like we were equal, we understood each other and had the same interests. Having ten years between us didn't mean a thing. I talk to an eleven year old pretty much the same way I talk to twenty year olds, it's nothing. We have both lived, and seen things, so what if our numbers don't match as long as we both see it that way.

Michelle is going out with a thirty year old and they are happy, they get on great so what if he is ten years older, they can talk and are happy what else matters. People always comment when they hear of old men dating younger women, they say the woman's only in it for the money, the man because the girl's body is firm or it's a mid-life crisis. Well maybe they actually connect on a higher level than age. Maybe they can share their stories, and laugh, and understand each other. Maybe they love each other and don't care what a few numbers say.

Who are we to say that their relationship is unhealty or 'he could be her father.' But he isn't, he is just older and they are happy, is being happy not enough for people? A relationship should be between the two people involved, no one else should say whether it is wrong or give reasons why they are together when they really have no clue. Maybe I say this because I need people to be open minded to accept me and so I am open minded about other couplings, but maybe I say this because there is no sin in love, no meaning to numbers and no control over our hearts. Maybe it's just me but talking to a thitry year old, talking to an eleven year old is the same as talking to a twenty year old and love is no different.
