First you will want to pre tin each of the cut ends. Pre tinning is the process of adding solder to the wire prior to actually soldering the wire to something. This will make soldering the wires together much easier when we get to that point.
Here is an example of pre tinning the wire. All you are doing is giving the wire a coat of solder. This will make soldering the wire much easier later on.
Now grab the resistor wires included in your kit. It doesn't matter which one you want to start with or which end is first.

Take a piece of heat shrink tubing from your kit and place over the wires as shown. This will be used to help secure and protect your connection once your wire is soldered in place.
When soldering the wire to your servo wire, hold the heat shrink up and out of the way as shown. You will slide it down over the connection once you solder the wire in place.
