EDEMA :
accumulation of fluid in tissues (swelling)


EMETIC :
a substance that causes vomiting


EMMENAAGOGUE :
a substance taht facilitates and regulizes menstrual flow (avoid in pregnancy)


EMOLLIENT :
softens and soothes inflamed tissue; softens and protects the skin


ENERVATE :
to deprive of strength, vigor, etc.; to weaken physically and mentally


ENTERITIS :
inflammation of the small intestine


EPSTIEN-BARR VIRUS :
the virus that causes infectuous mononucleosis and is associated
with Burkitt's lymphoma and nasopharyngeal cancer


ESTROGEN :
hormone that exerts frmale characteristics


EXPECTORANT :
encourages the loosening and removal of phlegm from the respratory tract
