an agent that kills parasites and worms

PARKINSIN'S DISEASE :
a chronic nervous disease. A slowly profressive,
degenerating nervous system disease characterized by restin tremor,
pill rolling of the fingers, a masklike facial expression,
shuffling gait and muscle rigidity and weakness


PARTURIENT :
stimulates uterine contraction which induces and assists labor

PECTORAL :
healing to problems in the bronchio-pulminary area

PERISTALSIS :
the alternate contraction and relaxation of the walls of a tubular stucture
by means of which its contensts are moved onward, characteristic
of the intestinal trac, uterer, etc.; a milking action


PHLEGM :
thick mucus especially from the respitory tract

PRECURSOR :
starts a chain reaction which accelerates growth

PROPHYLACTIC :
any agent or regimen that contributes to the prevention
of infection and disease


PROSTAGLANDIN :
hormone-like substance that has a wide range of functions
including acting as chemical messenger and causing uterine contractions


PUNGENT :
penetrating or sharp to the taste

PURGATIVE :
causes watery evacuation of intestinal contents

PUTREFACTION :
decomposition of organic matter; especially protiens,
by the action of bacteria, resulting in the formation
of foul-smelling compounds
