MALABSORPTION :

impaired absorption of nutients most often a result of diarrhea

MENORRHAGIA :

excessive loss of blood during menstual periods

METABOLISM :

a collective term for all of the chemical processes that take place in the body

MONTMORILLONITE :

lake clays used in nutrition as a source of trace minerals

MUCILAGE MUCILANT :

complex sugar molecules that are soft and slippery and protect mucous membranes and inflammed tissues

MUCUS :

the slick slimy fluid secreted by the mucous membranes; Mucus acts as a lubricant and mechanical protector of the mucous membranes

MYELIN SHEATH :

a white fatty substance that surrounds nerve cells to aid in nerve impulse transmission
