Julie walked to Hockey practice nervous about what Adam wanted to talk about. Then she opened the door and saw Adam pacing. She laughed.

“Hey Adam.” She said and he jumped.

“Hi Julie, thanks for coming.” Julie nodded and Adam continued. “Well I’m just going to say this straight out. I like you. I’ve liked you ever since the Good Will Game incident.(all of the Ducks refer to it as that, it’s universal.)”He said in one breath.

There was silence.

“Wow, well I have something to say too.”

Adam looked up from the ground.

“I feel the same way.” She blurted out.

“Really?!” he smiled acting surprised.

“Yea. But all you seem to care about is hockey.”

Adam cut her off. “The only reason why I said we had a game in 4 days was because I wanted you to know that I  didn’t want you to get really sick… but I didn’t want to let you now that I cared, because you are going out with Scooter.”

“Oh. To tell you the truth I don’t want to go out with Scooter anymore.(I know, I know you’ve all heard this like 100 times now but she hasn’t said it to him yet blah blah blah.) But you can’t tell anyone.” Julie looked down at her watch. “We better stop talking about this.”

“Yea. And don’t worry I won’t tell.” Adam smiled.

Guy and Connie walked to Hockey practice together.

“So, what do you think of Sadie?”Guy asked.

“She seems nice. Julie invited her over for Friday night. I hope we become really good friends. Why?”

“Oh, cool. Well after Julie asked Sadie over Sadie told me that she got the impression that you didn’t like her.”

“Oh! Nonsence! Tell her that I can’t wait for Friday.” Connie said.

“Okay. So, you guys are going back to your dorm after the dance together Friday?”

“Well Sadie is coming over after me and Julie come back. She said she’s not very social and wouldn’t feel comfortable going to the dance or something like that.” Connie explained.

“Oh, do you think she would go with me if I asked her? Just as friends.”

“Of coarse!”

 Guy smiled.

Connie and Guy stopped talking as they opened the locker room door.
