| This is my bird Akira. Even though I found out Akira ia a male name, I think it suits her. I believe it means "intelligent" in Japanese. (It is also the name of a ship from Star Trek. Akira is a cinnamon pied cockatiel. A former teacher was looking for a good home for her and, after Zitrone's passing, I took her in. She is friendly most of the time and very clever. She loves to have her head scratched. Last year I even brought her to live with me in my dorm room on campus (where the top picture was taken). |
