China is an ancient country. Chinese
culinary arts have a long history. They are famous all over the world.There are Chinese
restaurants everywhere around the world . Chinese dishes appeal to the senses through
colour, shape, aroma and taste.
In China , every province has its own
special cuisine. For local styles, Beijing cuisine combines the best features of
different regional styles. Shangdong cuisine leads the Northern dishes. Shangdong cooks
are good at cooking seafoods. Sichuan cooks specialize in chilies and hot peppers and
Sichuan dish is famous for aromatic and spicy sauces. Guangdong cooking makes use of many
ingredients. They look for fresh, tender, crisp textures. Huai Yang cuisine stresses the
natural flavors. Dishes are strong but not greasy, and light but delicate.
Among them , Cantonese food is one of the
most famous and popular Chinese foods inside and outside China . It is also my
favorite cuisine .Cantonese foods are always more colorful, less spicy and usually
stir fried, which preserves both the texture and flavor.
Here I first introduce "dim sum"
to all of you--- We ( Cantonese get used to have" tea breakfast" {"Tea
breakfast" --- have breakfast ("dim sum") and have tea at the same time.}.
Some Cantonese( most of them are older people who are retired) go to restaurants for
tea breakfast every morning. On Sunday, most people go for it with the whole
family.
In fact, so far, not only breakfast, but
during lunch time and every night after 8:30pm , all the restaurants serve "dim sum
" and tea. . Most people enjoy chatting with friends or family during
have some "dim sum" and tea after dinner. So it is more and more popular to have
"dim sum" at night for the people who have to go to work.
