Chinese poetry

SuShi (1037-1101) , also named Su Dongpo, was
born in Sichuan province . He is one of the most famous literary giants in Song Dynasty.
He gets outstanding achievement on writing, poetry and calligraphy. His works are
full of pride and enthusiasm, bold and generous, compare to most of the
exceedingly sentimental ancient poems , Su Shi creates the bold and unconstrained
style of Song Poetry, and become the most important and famous representative
figure of this poetry style.
Here I introduce one of his famous poem talking about the
midautumn festival, the tune of the poem is "Shui Diao Ge Tou"
(Prelude to water melody):

When will the bright(full) moon appear?
I hold the cup and ask the blue sky,
I wonder in palaces up there
what date is tonight?
Riding the wind, there I would fly,
But I'm afraid the crystalline palace
So high up, might be too cold for me.
I rise and dance,with my shadow ,
Just like here on the earth.
Turning in the red chamber,
Beneath the carved window,
(The moon light) is upon the sleepless (for parting).
(Different from human, ) the moon should have no spite,
But why the moon is always full when
people part.
There are grief and joy, separation and reunion for human;
The moon may be bright or dim and may wax or wane.
There is nothing perfect in the world since the ancient days.
So let us wish that we will live long as we can!
Though miles apart,we'll share the beautiful full moon together.
