What is Diabetes Type II?
Type 2 diabetes is a very common illness in modern America. It is estimated that more than 95% of people diagnosed with diabetes have type 2 diabetes. What exactly is it? People with this kind of illness have problems utilizing glucose in the blood. when we eat all the delicious food that we can get our hands on, all those goodies eventually turn to glucose in the blood. Then the body will make insulin that will allow glucose to go into muscle cells or other cells that need glucose to carry out daily activities. Unfortunately, people with type 2 diabetes have either too little insulin made, or their cells are insensitive to insulin. Thus, the cells in the body can not get the glucose--which remains in the blood--they need for energy.
