En route to the Mediterranean resort town of Antalya, we stopped at the Tinaztepe Cavern for the tour and the lunch. The cave was formed after a long period of 230 millions of years. Except fot a descent of 100 feet at the end, the mile-long cave was mostly horizontal. They played the mystical music as if a ghost might show up at any moment. Oh, light (I mean lunch) at the end of the tunnel! We ordered a variety of delicious kabob lunches.

Some women went to the Turkish Bath and came back squeaky clean. Some of us walked to the Marina and tried local fish for dinner. Sidar liked raki anise-flavored aperitif. When it was mixed with water in a certain way, it made a white band in the middle. It turned into a milky liquor once stirred. Turkish raki seemed to be equivalent of Greek ouzo or Italian grappa, none of which I have a taste for.

Our private boat anchored in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, where it was less polluted. On May 22nd, the sea was still cold. Most of our members jumped into the sea, and I got goose bumps watching them. We were served scrumptious lunch on board. After the cruise, Jerry and I stopped at the Antalya Museum. Their archeological collection was very impressive.

As we arrived at Antalya, we relaxed at the Ninova Pensions lush courtyard.
We were told how fortunate we were to be in Antalya when there was opera performance at the Roman Theater in Aspendus. Our bus driver Rafet was willing to take us there, if enough of us wanted to attend the concert. Of course, we went and enjoyed the bonus event.
