Rune Dreaming Techniques
The way you live is directly related to the
way you dream. As you work with runes more often,
you may find yourself beginning to dream about them,
experiencing the symbols in your dreams. The following
rune techniques will help you integrate the runes into
your dream world, allowing for a deeper understanding
of these ancient symbols.
Dreaming A Solution With Three Runes
About an hour before you go to bed, identify
one pressing problem in your life. Pick something
that you want to resolve, preferably something that
you've given a great deal of energy and thought
already, for example, finding a better place to live.
Make a few notes on a sheet of paper. Then think of
one clear question regarding the problem, such as,
"How can I find the best place for me to live?" and
write the question down on the same sheet of paper.
Mix the runes as usual, thinking of your question.
Pull three runes from your rune bag, and place them,
faceup, on your bedside table in a horizontal row,
from left to right. The first rune represents the
problem, the second the reason for the problem, and
the third, the possible solution. Write down the runes
as weli as a general meaning for each. Study their
shapes, and then lie back and close your eyes, all
the while still visualizing the three runes on your
bedside table.
Allow your mind to begin to explore the different
ways you might find a solution to the problem. Let
the three runes be your keys and just let your mind
wander. Even consider a few outlandish solutions.
Then amplify your intentions of finding an answer
to your problem by stepping into the future for a
few minutes and experiencing how wonderful it feels
to have already resolved your problem, to be living
in the perfect place.
As you drift off to sleep, keep visualizing the three
runes and the perfect solution to your problem. When
you wake up, write down or record your dream and draw
any dream images or rune symbols. Most people find a
workable solution to their problem within a few days.
