Sonic Advance

Where did Sonic advance to?

Intro:
After Sega went multi-platform, many wondered what would become of the blue quilled one. To answer the question, Dimps (a thrid-party developer) would cry 'Sonic Advance!' Not that you'd hear them, unless you've got really good hearing or something. And I guess you'd also be more concerned as to why a Japanese game company would shout 'Sonic Advance!' at you in the first place, so really, it's a good thing the whole thing didn't happen.

Anyway, whilst not the first time Sonic and co. had appeared on a non-Sega console, Sonic Advance was the first original Sonic game to appear on a Nintendo system.

Story:
Dr. Eggman must have woken up on the wrong side of his bed one morning. Once again, he's decided to kidnap all Sonic's animal chums and the Chaos Emeralds too. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy decide that this isn't really such a good idea, so go about to undo that irritable doc's plans.

The Game:
Sonic Advance harks back to the early days of the series, taking the same kind of style of Sonic the Hedgehog and it's sequels but with Sonic Adventure style character designs. The old formula of gameplay is still there, with two stages a zone, bosses and Chaos Emeralds.
